Hero Saves Truck Drivers Life!

This trucker faced a medical emergency, causing his truck to uncontrollably drift to the right. This, of course, led to a very dangerous situation and traffic jams on the highway, as drivers were unsure of what was happening. But then something incredible and heroic happened. The driver behind him was monitoring the situation and immediately noticed that something was wrong. He stopped his truck behind the troubled driver. At the first opportunity when the truck in front of him stopped, he ran to the driver experiencing the medical emergency and offered assistance, proving himself to be a hero. His actions were further recognized with a Prize for Civil Courage.

Amen to that! I had a moment today as I was walking through town. An old man was trying to stop a shoplifter. The thief pushed him away. I thought it was over (didn't know what was going on) as the old man walked away the thief put his stolen stuff down and crept behind the man with his fist balled. I could see that he was going to cold cock him in the back of head. I just reacted on instinct and went for him. He ran but I shouted to a guy on a motorcycle "thief!" that man should be playing corner back in the NFL because he narrowed the angle and slammed him to the floor. The older man was unharmed, the thief not so much and stolen goods returned. Seeing that man creeping up on the old guy sends a chill down my spine. He would never have seen it coming and could well have been killed. Stay frosty, be helpful and always give a damn!

I sometimes think what I would do if the worst happened and I passed out behind the wheel of my semi going 70mph. I'm healthy, but I'm not young anymore. I don't use my cruise as much as I once did, and I can only hope it would end as safely as this did thanks to that brave man.

I was in Minneapolis in April of 2014. I was cut off in traffic so I swerved hard to my left to avoid hitting her because she had 8 children in her vehicle. My Semi tipped over and I had a Traumatic Brain Injury and I was in a coma for 7weeks. But at least I didn't hurt anyone else.

@@Michael-yl5ot Things are a lot different here in India 🇮🇳. Absolutely chaotic and no road sense at all. I'm 62 years of age now but in my 45 years of driving both bikes, car and cargo truck, never have I indulged in any road accident. But today Indian highways have improved a lot more than it was before. Further, accidents happen due to another road user's careless irresponsible driving and thereby causing grievous injury to a careful and alert driver. God bless all. Wishes for safe driving. 🇮🇳🙏

You could be one. Anyone could. Rather than sat there watching a few people do good things get out and experience life. Become a hero yourself. Doesn't need to be a random driving encounter... volunteer at a food bank (maybe other countries don't have those but in the UK, thanks to right wing rule and corruption, we have thousands while 3million children aren't getting enough to eat, despite us being one of the wealthiest countries around - well we used to be) or as a crossing patrol at a school. Even picking up litter can be heroic - ever seen a fox with it's head stuck in man made trash?

That us one of the most horrible feelings, having a heart attack or huge blood sugar drop and being completely unable to control your body, seeing everything happen and being powerless

Also as a type one diabetic Yes it's very scary! I cannot drive because of my constant low blood sugars that happen out of Nowhere! I couldn't tell you how many times I've almost died from a really low blood sugar (bg under 30 and lower than that). Once in the hospital while I was pregnant the nurses wouldn't let me have a snack b4 bed time. I had told them I had to have a snack or I'd pass out in my sleep with a low blood sugar. Well they never gave me one and at 1am I called the nurses telling them that I was dizzy and they ignored me until I got up to show them how loopy I was. They had to do a blood draw because my blood sugar was lower than their machine could read. It just said LOW after the blood test and after I had eaten they told me that my blood sugar was at 8 🤯 so that's the lowest that I've ever got it on record and when I was 18/19 yrs old my highest blood sugar was over 1000 by blood tests while I was in DKA I had never heard of it. @@user-yu4cl7sy6g

Quick thinking, and brave of this young man to intervene to save someone’s life. In a very dangerous situation. Especially the area where he had to get out of his own vehicle on a move-in highway to help another man.

People in cars could care less anymore on these highways. They don't stop the fact that this man stopped ran across the highway into the truck to save this man's life is a miracle. I have the utmost respect for this man as do many other decent people. 👍🏻💯🙏

It's an old truck which fortunately doesn't lock itself after driving a certain speed as most of the new trucks do.

This truck drivervis a true hero. All the drivers who stopped and who stopped to slow traffic are true heroes. I hope the driver who suffered a medical emergency has made a full recovery and is doing very well. ❤❤
