I just noticed this extra layer of atmosphere in this battle: alongside their verses, there's this constant ambiance corresponding with each of the rappers. Herobrine, as to represent his more traditionally unnerving presence and a supposed undead spirit, has consistent breathing alongside his lines. The Mario Silhouette, who is pretty much another Mario that exists as a glitch, has echos of his voice yelping Mario's famous exclamations. It's a really nice detail, and it adds more to the beat than the beat itself.

Tbh what set me off more with herobrine was the background being more greyed out during his first verse and becoming more glitchy (funni made in heaven) during his 2nd verse and then his 3rd verse has uh something??? idk

Sorry for the late comment My god, this is the most atmospheric battle I've ever watched. Loved the VHS filter for Mario Silhouette, the Herobrine animation is really cool, you and Tibbs did impeccable on the VA, the writing is fantastic, loved all the flips on words, the final line from Mario Silhouette was fucking murderous, just amazing job all around, Commander. Very much awaiting future projects of yours.

Nice to see another Mario 64 Pasta get the spotlight for once, after Personalized and Wario Apparition were taking the spotlight all the time. Also gotta complement the voice work and editing. Tibbs not only did a good standard Herobrine voice, but you managed to do a good Mario voice while still being different enough to not be a full-on Mario voice. And the animations, god the animations are so good on both sides. Really nailed the uncanny valley in particular places. Really great battle, Jacob!

It never occurred to me how similar Mario Silhouette is to Herobrine, and I never expected actually good writing from him, considering there isn't much to work with, but it was very good My favorite part has to be the music video, I love how it mimics the feel of old horror gaming videos

i just realized this small detail on a rewatch, but mario's first verse starts with him saying "I see you~!" and his second starts with "Players see you," which only adds to his lines at the start of the second verse with him saying "Everyone knows you're there, I stay hidden from their sight." god this battle is so underrated

I know that this detail is probably one that almost everyone notices, but when you look at Herobrine's background at 2:23, you can actually see the gold blocks and the torches where in most Herobrine videos, that is what they use to summon Herobrine. It probably was obvious to everyone but I just wanted to point it out

Mario silhouette definitely won, herobrine had too many lines threatening Mario silhouette, he still did good but not enough to match Mario silhouette. I have never found a rap battle that actually scares me but this comes pretty close. Overall great job to everyone who worked on this

@CommanderJacob Here's what I've got in mind: Best & Bester vs Pichu Bros. MePhone4 vs Kirby Learning with Pibby vs Hobo Funnie Show Reasons: 1. Like the Pichu Bros., Best and Bester are a bit of a chaotic sibling rivalry but they sometimes care about eachother. The only problem that happened with the 2 components is that Best and Bester were banished by Grumpy Pants, by manipulation, and the Judge due to their beliefs of them causing chaos around their town, the Pichu Bros. and Pikachu got attacked by an angry Houndour, the Pichu Bros. tried to use thunderbolt on it but it turns out that they shock themselves while trying to use their powers/electricity. 2. idk why I thought of this, but I guess it is because both are childish, a bit, love food, love to have fun and can protect others no matter what. But sometimes they both can be a bit upset when the person they trust was on the evil side of their plans. Despite Cobs and Galacta Knight being their "fathers", ((someone says that Galacta Knight is Kirby's DAD (idk how)), they have no "mothers". 3. Hobo and Pibby have simular stories: a character going through many worlds with all of much confusion and frightfulness. But unlike Pibby, Hobo doesn't team up with other characters, like when he tried to tell the "sausage bits" mascot to team up with him, he doesn't and kills himself afterwards, before Hobo was confused of what a "nepo baby" is.
