Can we just take a minute to feel grateful for the lives we have because these people had the worst lives. Percy was kicked out of schools non stop and abused by his stepfather, Annabeth was blamed for things she couldn't control, Piper never got any attention from her parents, Jason barely remembers his past, Leo was pushed to his limit without knowing, Hazel watched her mother suffer, And Frank's life depended on a stuck but he didn't even know it!

When I was younger, I used to listen to/watch this all the time. These characters, and the Riordanverse books, were some of the only things keeping me afloat in really really dark times. When I rewatched this for the first time in a long while, I actually started crying. The girl who sat in this chair watching this video could never have imagined the person I am watching this now. I'm so happy that even though things still get really hard, I'm getting better every day. Thank you for such a beautiful and bittersweet video

It is so sentamental and I love it! All of them in their own way are misfits, Percy was abused by his first stepdad, Annabeth ran away due to a very mean step mother, Leo killed his mother, Piper got into so much trouble just to be noticed by her father, Frank's mother was killed in war, Jason and Thalia's mother was obsessed with herself and wouldn't take care of her kids, Hazel's mother hated her because of a curse because she (Hazel's mother) was greedy, and Nico and Bianca's mother was murdered by Zeus because of a stupid prophecy.

Did you know Percy is more than just named after Perseus? He, just like Perseus, had a lot of respect for his mother, and killed the man who did wrong to her, for Perseus it was Polydectes and for Percy it was Gabe.

Ohhhh my gods. This video.... NO HEROES GROW UP TOO FAST. I want to go back to when we didn’t know about Camp Jupiter and Percy was a clueless sixth grader! I love these characters, how it feels to be way past reading their books yet I always go back

Nostalgia just hit real hard. I remember watching this 2 years ago, not feeling to well. I practically grew up with these characters and now I’m going to high school. They may not actually be real but they are to me, they helped me through such hard times. Everything about these books has helped me escaped from reality, I can’t believe I’m 13 and still waiting for a satyr all the way in California.
