This game was honestly one of the best ever made. nothing else captures the story book come to life feel of it. it all just makes sense like wizard town being basically Gandalf and warlock being all the mounters we grew up hearing heroes face etc.

People always cite Heroes 3 to be the best in the series and Heroes 4 to have the best music, but to me personally Heroes 2 was the one who opened the gate to the vast and infinite imaginative world of High Fantasy!! More than 25 years into the future and I'm still playing HOMM 2, 3, 4, but mostly HOMM 2! And i plan to show them to my kids as well one day 😁

This strikes straight through my heart, i remember playing at friends computer HOMM2 Teleporters Scenario starting with Knight faction with a whole new world to discover. There was no point of return from that day. And this brings me back to 1995 or whatever. Its amazing how can one piece of sound bring you back decades back to your childhood! Ill just say thanks and wish you very best!

I love how one of the most popular songs in the franchise isn't a Town or a battle theme, it's an unassuming little ambiance theme (I really love the song). Though I do think the Lava theme in heroes 1 is critically under-rated.

One of the very first game of my life. I'm born in 1995, my grandpa bought the game during a trip in 1999. HOMM II is all my youth with my brother, we played hot-seat at my grand-parents. I was always picking warlock for their black dragons, or sorceress for the theme and the phoenix. My brother was always playing either knights for the armored-chad with the big sword or wizards because he loved the mages and the titans. We ended up buying HOMM III, IV, V and so on. I got them all x)

When I played this game, I always teleported to the grasslands and just sit there listening to the midi version of the piece until it was ingrained in my memory. Now, I find this absolutely flawless rendition and I am freaking out! It is just too perfect!

Ten utwór moim zdaniem wyszedł najlepiej ze wszystkiego, co nagraliście, jeżeli porównamy to z oryginałem. Genialny klimat i wykonanie. Chyba podmienię sobie ten utwór na jego odpowiednik w Heroes II :)
