@HeroesOrchestra Stronghold holds a special place in my heart due to how much I loved Waerjaks campaign, but when I got back into the game heavily about 4 years ago, I got really addicted to Preserve due to the power of spells I used to not realize the potential of, specifically quicksand.

Finally, I have been waiting a long time for this. My all-time favourite terrain track, and you guys played it to perfection! The flute and harp were particularly beautiful (Julia always nails it!) The game has a storyline called "Elwin and Shaera". This music perfectly fits with the love story described in that storyline. The melody is traditionally associated with hope.

@@officialgruber Complete Celt Library. It's on youtube. Hope and many other songs from HOMM4 are shamelessly copied from this library. I don't think selling CDs with these songs is legal, even if using them in the game was. I wrote to guys who actually composed those songs and they're looking into it, lawsuit is a possibility.

Maybe it is the nostalgia, but this sad melancholic music brings tears to my eyes almost every time. All it takes is the first 1:20 to make a grown man tear up. Well done PAR and the heroes orchestra for giving life to PAR's music. Now I godda go listen to the sea theme as a pick me up.

I doubt one can overemphasise what these orchestral renditions mean to those who have grown up listening to the original pieces. If I may be so bold, have you given thought to experimenting with more music from the first game, _Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest_ (1995)? While you have treated us to some of the town themes from the original - with maestro Romero, no less! - I am eager to hear any interpretations you might make of HoMM1’s terrain themes. Though perhaps less memorable for their simpler melodies (and also being near-inaudible from inserted ambient sounds, such as wind or birdsong), they could be all the more interesting and challenging to replicate orchestrally. Love, from Denmark. Having played a lot of different games in my childhood, I couldn't help but notice that the main melody of this track is basically used in the intro of this track here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hJ2SrcZnztDIhps.html (American Conquest: Divided Nation - Soundtrack Title "To Victory") Now I don't quite believe they just took that melody from HoMM4. And I also refuse to believe they coincidentally created the exact same melody on their own. So I'm wondering, does this melody have any origin beyond Heroes IV?

A lot of the music in HoMM4 was purchased rather than made, so they didn't have exclusivity to those songs. That is probably that case here.

have plan play Might and Magic 6,7,8 music? It's a roaming game, so most of the songs have a narrative atmosphere rather than a melody, but some songs are still great.
