Wow!! What an easy guide 👍🏻 I actually finished this boss already, but the hard way 😂 with banshee to counter, unbounds, and fire damage for the kill.

1:50 it's like a running gag, just like Pinky&the Brain's "are you pondering, what I'm pondering?" 😆 but I definitely feel you, it's hard to get close in time for a melee to attack Ogre Mages and a ranged DD often gets owned by the Ogre or at least achieves a draw (aka double K.O.). In the beginning I was thinking of Footmen for this fight as tanks, as they are also squad, but I guess they are free food for the mentioned Ogre, correct ? (as they are too slow to close the gap and immediately roasted).

This does not work for me as something’s different. I get 3 prowlers followed immediately by an ogre mage. I struggle to defend against that initial push even with higher level cards.
