The park is located on the eastern bank of the Elbe in the Herrenkrug district of Magdeburg and extends parallel to the river in a north-south direction.
It is directly connected to the other side of the Elbe bank via the Herrenkrugsteg , a foot and cycle path bridge.
The park is part of the Saxony-Anhalt Garden Dreams network.
