I've had a few requests to show how I play "Ruby". I've never really done a "lesson/how-to" video so I hope this helps and makes the grade. Here's my original video: • Ruby, Don't Take Your ... NOTE: I did catch one minor boo-boo I made at 2:32. I said I use my ring finger when it's actually my middle finger. Don't hate.

Five years after this video was posted I came here to learn the song when Kenny Rogers died. This is a fantastic lesson, thank you

Well done! Looked through several but this answered my questions. Great forgotten song, sadly. But those of us who were "there" will never forget. On behalf of those this was written for, thank you. Ya did good.

Recently rediscovered this song when I heard “The Killers” play it. Brought me back to my childhood to remember hearing Kenny Rogers do it, and how much I loved it. Great Job! Thanks!

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing the way you play this. Your voice sits so well with this number. I would love you to re-record your cover but just trust your voice and the guitar - lose the other stuff. I believe it would get a lot of attention. Good luck.

Hi Jason. I think I have the chords kinda locked down. It's the picking that's letting me down. I'm ok with finger tips or nails. I just can't do it with a plectrum. Is there a picking style specific or just up down twice quick? Mad I know. It's just driving me insane. Many thanks. Great song rip Kenny from UK

I'm beginning so what would the chords be using a Capo. ? Thanks guy , you sound good ...
@bladesaint21mr
@bladesaint21mr 8 жыл бұрын
Just use the same chord shapes he explained in the vid. And just use the capo on the 2nd fret as if it wernt there. The finger shapes remain the same, the capo simply changes the pitch so a C shape plays D instead.
