I booked a van hire as I needed it to take my DJ equipment to a wedding, on arrival I noticed they usual text message with pin number hadn't come through. I eventually got through to someone and they helped open the door, it then wouldn't start and was filthy inside. The guy then asked me to try another van which he had logged me into, but it wouldn't open. I think it was because it had practically no petrol in it. This all went on for nearly 2 hours talking to different people from the help desk. The app wanted me to close an eye and some other things that didn't work. They also wanted my finger print. There were so many loops to jump through!
In the end after trying one last time, and nobody picking up I just left the van there.
I had to call the bride and explain to her that her 40k wedding will now be ruined because of Hertz as I can't get my DJ equipment to her and I couldn't find a replacement at such short notice. She was crying and screaming down the phone at me, she will now be taking me to court and I'll also need to take Hertz to court for such an unbelievably terrible service.
The people on the other end of the phone were useless and no help what so ever!
