Thing is it's not a new tactic, teams been doing it since Nic Jover was a baby. It's just that we chose to weaponize it at every opportunity that it's been a talking point. Heck I remember Leno got done worst where the opponent literally held and hugged him to his place and the ref allowed it and this is during VAR era.

It's still a contact sport. Keeper is allowed to use his hands. Ben White is blocking while his back is to the keeper. Lots of reasons why it's legal. Revolutionary.

It's legal because the timing of the block on the keeper is right before the ball is kicked from the corner. Timing beats power, and precision beats speed. Learn the game, Learn the tactics. Innovation, and young blood. This is not Youth14 football this is the EPL Arsenal_For_Life Baby

Notice it is the run into positions by the Arsenal players, then the block on the keeper, then the kick. All motion has to happen with accurate timing.

I want to believe that the catalyst to this is when we conceded that direct corner by Douglas Luiz against Villa. Ramsdale was absolutely harrassed and could not punch the ball. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oclkktZm05uRlKM.html If Arsenal learned from this that GK are fair targets during corners, then props to Nic Jover for learning from a bad experience and absolutely turning it around. I also think that next season referees will be "instructed to" protect the goalkeepers more. When it happens to Arsenal there usually isn't any repurcussions. We can't have Arsenal taking advantage of a loophole though, now can we?
