I was in reading a history book and the topic was ww2....everytime a country was mentioned i tried not to imagine a hetalia character (it was very difficult) (i failed) (i cant escape this fandom)

world twinkle and beautiful world were top tier in the artstyle fr, the new one has some weird proportions and they slimmed down greece! he was supposed to be buff! grrr the songs are so unironically good like,, not only they are fun and catchy and really diverse, but there are so many cultural tidbits of their respective countries and i just am so happy as someone who’s really interested in culture around the world and has classical music and ballet as a special interest,, like, Spain’s songs have so much spanish inspired sound and instruments, Polands marukaite chikyuu having that sick ass intro only to be greeted with silly singing and in the intermission having Mazurka (a traditional polish dance and music style) and Vals thrown into it?? the vals part being the one where he sings about how Lithuania is his dear friend?? not to mention France’s Paris song having a very French sound (lol) and Carrots and Sticks being a clear reference to All The Things She Said by russian duet t.A.T.u, i could talk for hours about the care put into the songs because they are legitimately done with so much passion and love,,, as for what France did during the french revolution, in chapter 293 they talked a bit about fashion in the 1700s! (historical fashion is another interest of mine lol) with France of course being one of the main characters of that bit. prussia is the focus and then he interacts a bit with russia, but then in chapter 300 France was shown wearing peasant clothes alongside the humans and then reveals that he wears that bc and i quote, “his house currently gives off a vibe that they’ll beat the crap out of you if you wear anything that remotely looks aristocratic” and he suffered when the luxurious and antique goods were sold off by the people and then napoleon appears. it’s really fun lol hetarchive is the best place to read it imo!

I am so sorry. I’ve been stuck here for 5 years. No shame in liking it, I’m stuck in a lot of things and I can’t escape. It helped me a LOT through human geo and European history lol

Also I want to make my own version of Austria and the US and tell my own stories with them. But I love Hetalia a lot more than my own story and always will because Hetalia got me into history and researching cultures.

I will defend Hetalia with my life no matter what, It's fun and thrilling to watch! People made creative stuff out of this silly show. Especially Hetamyu Musicals are on another level :D By the way, I would like to inform everybody about Hetalia's dark side, It is hidden behind funny jokes but If you study characters + watch their reactions to political things such as war, famine etc etc you will be able to spot those little hints of massive tragedies.. He says this with a calm, collected voice, probably because ,given his history, he has seen people being tortured/he himself tortured someone /he was tortured before. "blah blah blah blah.. but unfortunately, after a few GENOCIDES blah blah blah blah.." said by Russia, he seems so chill about this whole genocide thing.
