is it her or him? how do i know?

@@retryhikaru184 it is her, the males are brown and around 10cm. The females are always bright green and around 15cm. :)

@@OxyToxyNT000 False, females also have wings, it's just that they are undersized for the female's bulkier body. Male H. Dilatata are smaller, have a longer abdomen and brown wings running the whole length of the back. Female stick insects having wings but being flightless due to their larger size is the norm, though there are a few less sexually dismorphic species where both sexes are capable of flight.

Males live around 5 to 6 months, and females around 7 to 12 months. :)

@@raymondbjelvin674 I got the information from two veterinarians that did researches, but they could have bad sources although I don't think so ! I'll look it up myself and I apologise if it actually is wrong :)

@@raymondbjelvin674 I've looked it up, the lifespan varies. They say a year, two or three for females and around six months for males. I guess it depends on the environment and how you take care of it. :)

@@animalsandi1868 I know one who had one for over 2 years. The info I found it is normal it gets to be 2 years. Males I don`t know but shorter like it is with humans.

Females don't, but the males do.
