I love coral bells because the slugs don’t bother them. And if you mix up the varieties you get a great show.

Just found your channel and really appreciate the time you took to explain all the different heuchera plants. I just purchased my first plant and look forward to planting several of the various colors along the back of my house. I was told by our local garden center (NE PA) that this is one of the most underrated plants and more people need to be introduced to them. I totally agree!! One of the best videos I have ever watched, so informative and so well presented. Heucheras are becoming so popular and they deserve a spot in any style of garden. We have a jungly style garden and the Heucheras really compliment the other plants.

Gr8 video she really knows all the names. But she was say part sun to shade mine been in the front flower bed Full sun for 11 years & there nice & big i trimmed up every fall & i have color all year butterflies and bees love them .

Thank you for going through so many different varieties. I found a sugared plum variety, I think, just a few days ago and every time I go out to look at it it's a different color. I love it! That electric lime variety looks incredible, I have to find one. It would definitely break up the darkness at the back of my garden.

Thanks for sharing! Wow, Mocha is gorgeous - I haven’t seen that one before. I’ve just ordered 9 heuchera, my first time adding them to the garden (3 ea of Black Pearl, Wild Rose and another purplish toned one, Pink Panther I think it’s called). I really wanted some lemon-lime coloured ones to offset the black but I struggled to find ones that were full-sun tolerant (zone 5). If anyone knows of any lighter, bright-coloured heuchera that may survive Canadian summers in full sun, please let me know! I’d really like to layer some in. I selected a yellow sun-tolerant hosta for now but I love the idea of a drift of all heuchera along the garden border. Like a leafy patchwork quilt. Lovely.

still confused as to which exact heucheras are native to Tennessee but ive started a shad garden with them and i am addicted, Onto heuchera number 12

Susan Field Heuchera don't seem to have many problems with bugs bothering them. The only Heuchera that I have seen with holes, that could have possibly been caused by slugs, is one that I have that has leaves from a Hosta branching over it. When I saw it I thought that maybe a slug ventured over from the Hosta, that is a slug resistant variety, to the Heuchera to see what that tasted like, then moved on. I only saw 2-3 leaves with small holes in them. The holes could also be caused by moths as this Heuchera is located on the side of my house, approx. 6 feet from a light that is turned on at night. Heuchera are a wonderful addition to the shade garden, and many varieties are able to grow in sun as well.

They don't like water as I had some blackout coral bells and they were beautiful this spring and i lost 2 because all the rain we had and they rotted.
