Yes, you can learn some useful things but more than half the stuff they teach are just lies particularly when it comes to history or science. Over those 12 years, did I learn how to have a conversation in French? _NO!_ (Maybe the teaching is better now, I don't know...) North America could definitely learn from how languages are taught in Europe - and probably in the rest of the world.

As a Russian who learns English for the last 20 years I can say, her English is amazing, and the reason she was rejected from the University has nothing to do with her English language knowledge.

I agree. As a norwegian my view off Russia has been tainted because of the cold war and Russia was only represented as a military power. Especially lately i think the world view of Russia has been more that its a dangerous country but not realising that it actually has nice parts to it

@Ragnar Odinsson Where St Petersburg is now was formerly part of the Swedish kingdom. Estonia was also under Danish control ,, but then Swedish and then Russian.
