In today's easy acoustic guitar lesson we learn how to play "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix. While the electric version with barre chords can be tricky, here's an arrangement that doesn't need to go past the 5th fret and can even still get many of the cool fills throughout. It's interesting to note that the chord progression is a repeating sequence of the five open major chords on the guitar, C, G, D, A, and E. Lastly, we break down the music theory behind the chord progression and discover why the E minor pentatonic works so well over it.
