AMG Mercedes is the dream. I had to go with 300e plug-in hybrid which should arrive in January. The waiting time seems so long, i am sure with an AMG it feels doubly so!

C43’s are awesome! That awesome sound of the 3.0L petrol engine. If you get one with the Performance Exhaust sometimes it’ll crackle and pop! But the best thing about it, the car can also be very understated so people don’t know how fast your car actually. It can be very subtle if you want but noisy also!

In the UK for example it does adapt and connect to the internet to process commands, you can say Hey Mercedes: Navigate me home I’d like to navigate home Navigate me home please Navigate home And it’ll do all of those among other phrases too with similar keywords that it picks up from a sentence

No unfortunately it won’t open the actual sunroof same as it won’t open the windows. Most functions are on the main screen, so things like Navi, Radio, Media, Tel and stuff You can always ask, Hey Mercedes what can I ask you? And she’ll give you a whole list of stuff! 🤓

There is no specific list as the car adapts and learns things all the time and even learns accents. You can pretty much give it a command for anything on the centre screen and a few other vehicle functions in the car.

Oh yeah there’s loads of commands you can say to them both!

One thing though I should add, I’ve heard of this only operating on a spec called Augmented Reality (a pretty fancy sat Nav that is almost like VR on the road) but again it does not work in the UK.

Hey George, is that for Pre-Entry Climate Control on hybrids and electric cars?

@@npoleary According to Mercedes this can be added to all versions. Electric (EQC), Plugin (e.g. GLA) and normal diesel or petrol versions (e.g. GLB). In Switzerland the code for ordering it is the "228". My question is and I don't get a clear answer, is how it works in daily life in hot or/and in cold days? May I set the temperature and start the Aircondition remotely? How many minutes in advance?

Hey George, I won’t know fully sorry. Spec varies massively from country to country. For example with this, you can’t pre heat or cool a Mercedes in the UK unless it’s a hybrid or electric. This is just not possible on petrol or diesel in the uk. If it works the same way as the hybrids and electrics, Pre-Entry climate control will run for approx 30 mins before switching off and can be used for hot or cold. But just bear in mind these models will have an auxiliary heater. I don’t know what it will be like for petrol and diesel.

Hey Martin, unfortunately no :( The list would be so long! Much like Siri, Google & Amazon Alexa speakers commands aren’t provided in a list format due to how many they can do. Try this though next time you’re in the car: “Hey Mercedes......What can I ask you?” She’ll give you a list of stuff on each section (phone Navi media) etc on what you can say.

Hey Aplin, I haven't had the chance to try out of even sit in an X7 yet however, from my knowledge of the GLS 450, it is an absolutely incredible car. I would describe it an S-Class 4x4, every part of that car has been thought out with such care and luxury is at the forefront. It also features MBUX which the best infotainment system I've ever come across.

Got it thank you! Weirdly enough this used to be a hidden feature of the old app, you had to link it that way. Now that’s changed and it’s done slightly differently. Learn something new everyday! Haha Head to: assistant.google.com/services/a/uid/000000642e3973e1?hl=en_us Sign into your Google account if you’re not already and tap the blue link button and follow all of the steps. After a couple of minutes it’ll all be linked up. I’ve just tried it and can confirm that it works in the UK 🤓

Sure! Start this procedure with your engine / ignition on. Then turn your engine / ignition off, open your driver’s door. And then hold the button on the end of your indicator stalk. Only do it lightly though, and then you’ll see a second or too later, the wipers will raise up vertically and stay there. Make sure you put them back against the glass before you turn the car back on!

Hey Infinitygames, unfortunately there’s nothing called AutoPilot in Mercedes. You can opt for a thing called the Driving Assistance Package which assists the driver with adaptive cruise control. However the official specs of the C-Class hasn’t been released yet. Should hear something this month 🤞🏼

Hi Annmarie, When you flick the Dynamic Select switch to Eco, the car will reduce engine output (so not as powerful), will change gear as quick as it can (keeping the revs down low) and also offer a thing called gliding / sail mode. This mode will effectively and safely take the car out of gear so when you’re cruising on the motorway and take your foot off of the accelerator, it will switch over to this if there isn’t a car in front. Benefits to this mean you can actually cover a fair amount of ground with the engine pretty much just idling, so almost like just coasting down a hill. All of this combined with improve your MPG and reduce your fuel bill! But of course there maybe some situations where you need the opposite like sport mode to overtake etc. Your preference at the end of the day! 🤓

@@npoleary Hi Nick it was the Consumption dial I wanted to understand a bit more. As I'm driving it changes constantly and can go up to 999 then down to 20 etc. etc. and the average mph underneath rarely tallies. What does the top reading mean exactly?

Mmm that sounds strange...I’ll be honest I haven’t tried playing something via a Memory Stick and then asking Hey Mercedes. I’m sure you’ve checked this but I know there are shuffle buttons and repeat buttons at the bottom but it’ll be strange if it’s doing it without those buttons highlighted... What command were you asking the Hey Mercedes?

For example I say " Hey Mercedes, change song" It asks me to name the song I wish to hear.I tell Hey Mercedes the song "swimming lessons"(an actual song on my usb) it promptly plays the song however, after it plays the song, it doesn't continue on playing the remaining songs .The system repeats the song. I will eventually work it out.

Hey AMGPower, Have you tried asking it to play a playlist or an album, does it continue the songs then? I think that’s what it’s meant to do if you just ask it to play a song to be honest. I haven’t tried it on a memory stick.

User preference at the end of the day, good point though! On Amazon Alexa smart speakers, you can customise it to beep, or just talk back to you! Would be good to have an option I think 🤔

Ah that’s an easy one, if you go to the profile selector on your car (top right of the screen) then go to General Settings and enable “Synchronise Profiles Automatically”. My latest video covers that at the end 🤓

Hey TheUrbanEpicure, Sorry you didn’t like it, this was the only video of it’s kind directly comparing the two. As there are two manufacturers involved here, I personally went in with a non-biased approach which I know a lot of people prefer when watching content on KZfaq. From my own viewpoint both systems are as good as each other and funnily enough even have the same voice. I wouldn’t say I put the burden on the viewer, I thought it might have been quite nice to almost literally put them side by side which you wouldn’t normally be able to do when seeing them in person in showrooms.
