This song is so relatable to people who have abandonment issues. I personally grew so attached to a girl that I started calling her my platonic soulmate. We slowly drifted apart due to her dropping out of school and me being busy with studies. During Christmas Eve I sent her a message telling her that I still loved her (platonically) and that she’ll always be my sunshine. However she answered with a big paragraph saying we weren’t going strong anymore, that I was an amazing friend and that we weren’t really friends anymore. I really do mourn me as a kid, that’s what this reminds me of, in my case I feel completely different than how I was before but I know I’m still the same person. Sometimes it’s shocking when I look at photos of young me and realize, hey that really is me, I was that small and happy and loved by everyone around me, young me had a huge family that lived nearby with as many cousins to play with as you can imagine. Crazy how I don’t even live in the same time zone anymore. I’m a lot less happy now, actually very unhappy, but I am working towards when I can move back to where my whole family lives.

Kind of a vent ig From about 2020 - 2021 I had just gotten out of a break up and decided to act "mature" and use that time to "heal" to "change for the better", instead without realizing I became a brat, bleached my hair pink and purple which faded so I was just a blonde who thought I was being mature when I really wasn't, looking back I became harsh and not the sweet little girl I was, after covid I desperately wanted to change back from being a brat to just being me so I chopped my hair off into a pixie and dyed it back to its natural color. I know deep down that girl is never going to leave though she's always there I can't just pretend a whole year of my life just never happened, part of me will always be that dumb blonde who thought she knew best, it's been over a year sence then and I'm just barely started to confront that and recognize that I'm not her, she may still be there but I actually have changed for the better sence then it just scares me sometimes
