This was the album that converted me over from secular music to Gospel. This was first Gospel choir I ever loved. Still my favorite gospel choir.

I used to sing this with the youth choir at the former church my daddy pastored...I LOVED THIS SONG! It was and still is a personal testimony to me...I am gonna make it!!!I feel a shout coming on!

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Walker back in 1990. My church went to NY and we recorded with Hezakiah and it was such an AWESOME experience!!!

This was from their very first project, which was called "I'll Make It". It is currently out of print (which is why so many were excited it was remade for radio city). At that time they were signed to Sweet Rain, which was a local label in Philly.

This was the first song I taught my choir when we started a Youth & Young Adult choir at my church. We thought we were doing something. Some of the old sisters that this was too modern and contemporary at the time of course. It could have been the choreography we added on the vamp though. We had fun. The choir took off from there. We started with about 9 members and grew to 30 within about a year and half. I left that church many years ago and we've only had one reunion. We closed with this and it went on for about 30 minutes.... Great to see Ernest Davis & Wilmington Chester Choir there in the audience....

at 3:54 on the original track he should have said the words : through hard trials, tribulations,persecution I need to beg for, sink or swim if I die I'll make it.

I still have my cassette copy from the late '80's. You are going to have a hard time getting this on cassette or CD. Matter of fact I do not think they made this on CD, unless it was a remake.
