I wish they still did this show now

Designed to Sell was one of my favorite shows on HGTV. The original hosts boosted the popularity of HGTV, then they were dropped. Now it's all about demo, reconfiguring entire kitchens and baths and real estate, House Hunters, etc. I have written to HGTV, but they never responded. Also, has anyone ever seen any show about gardening? Sure wish they would bring back these shows. Not everyone wants to demo or buy and sell. Sad.

Elements of this remodel that are still on trend in 2020: stainless steel appliances, stainless steel fixtures on cabinets, vinyl plank flooring, minimalist artwork, and floating shelves. Dated yes, but these elements have stuck around. Watching old shows like this show me what is a good investment for remodeling.

This designer is my favorite :classic design but with sophistication and freshness. The kitchen was a bit dark for the small space. It would have been better white, but then that much black is a taste thing

I've never seen black cabinets in a kitchen before and in my opinion it didn't look good in this kitchen. The bedroom needed privacy curtains. Everything else looked good.

This was my first viewing of "Designed To Sell" & I truly enjoyed the young couple on this episode & wish them the best life has to offer. Also, the whole team seemed extremely pleasant. It is nice to view a show where folks don't act "know-it-all" (in a pushy way) when helping others out.

The kitchen was way to dark with the dark paint.

The fridge doors need to be reversed. Then when you open it items can easily be placed on the counter.

That kitchen is entirely too dark = should have white cabinets & possibly a lighter table & chairs set. Master bedroom looks so stark & obviously staged - no dresser or chest-of-drawers = a "NO-NO"! Living & dinning area: NOT comfortable = needs different arrangement of sofa & entertainment cabinet; also, softer angles on dinning set better.

The black paint 'did not' allow the grains to show through. It looks matte (not good). They should have sanded to clear grease, then stained only.

The bedroom needs shades for privacy and long curtains on the side for style. Kitchen cabinets should be in cream white, with a white table.

The condo is still missing the "feminine touch." I would have used the rug, added pops of color in the kitchen, maybe made the cabinets another color, closer to white. If you keep the black you have to add lots of light or bright colors to set it off and make it homey, or at least not so cold and stark.

Of course, this is about a decade old, I missed this episode prior. The kitchen cabinets are awful in black, TOO DARK. The cabinet doors were made of plywood, and the dark shade emphasized this. The bed was covered in a cheap sheet and the window with half a sheet. YUK. That nice couple would have done better by requesting help from their parents, Good Luck with their future.

First of all, vertical blinds on a patio slider work, and work well. Nobody has come up with anything that works better and is more flexible in terms of use. If they are suddenly out of fashion, then put up a curtain rod and some drapes to hide them, but don't take them down!

Hate the kitchen cabinets.

They absolutely ruined the kitchen with all that black paint. Not a selling point and the scale of the furmiture was all off too.

Sorry, it's a dump no matter what you do to it. Yuck.

I think these shows are about 10 years old, and it's amazing how dated and cheap this looks just in that time.

They did a very bad job, and this video was sloppily presented!

You can't re-stain wood cabinets unless you sand them to the point that there is no varnish left in the wood which is extremely hard to do unless you spend hours and hours sanding. The best thing to do is to lightly sand the cabinets and then paint them white. Why are these people trying to re-invent the wheel in terms of a simple kitchen cabinet makeover? It's aggravating to watch these people waste time and materials trying to re-stain cabinets still full of surface varnish.
