@Guido . This is Simone, father of those Pyramids 😊. You heard well, I'm from Pisa. Yes, they deserve a better positioning but you know, small house and a wife to care of 😅 I wish to realise a dedicated listening room in my future house. Then elettronics upgrades will have place, and much more sense. For now, to me, it's a cheap killer system.😊 Thank you for your kind and useful work.

@@anadialog hihihi, sarai mica Livornese?! :D Some more Infos about the system ..The Ciare Pm200N it's a Pro audio speaker, 96db efficiency. A really fast speaker, gives sense of realism and immediacy. The pyramid shapes gives less diffraction issues from surfaces. Decoupling with rubber stripes highs and mids from lows is a good solution for preserve the qualities of the nice mid Ciare speaker. The system is currently working in bi-wiring, using two DIY bunches of cables for mid/high and a normal double 3mm cable for woofers. Internally all the structure has been reinforced for increase rigidity, the wiring has been doubled for every speaker seeking low cable resistance. The cross over has done with premium components. Despite mid level vintage amplifier and sources, speaker is the main character here. The rear Firing tweeter has the ability to give much depth to scene, while super Tw adds airiness to it. That was the goal thought in the project. The whole cabinet is decoupled from ground using four all black tennis ball which are cheap and well looking feet. Cherry on top is a Transflex 200-25 subwoofer (not present in the presentation I sent) designed by Luca Corso from Corso Audio System YT Chanel, capable to give 20hz.. Cheers

I enjoy how you do the viewer system reviews. Usually I see people just showing photos and the KZfaqr reading what the guy wrote with a small reaction at the end. I like this approach you chose more because each person can explain their system and it gives a bit more depth into their system.

These are great - I enjoy the variety of personalities and approaches that participants bring to showcasing their audio set-ups. No worries Guido; the charm of something like this is the variety of participants and the unique approaches they take in showing their gear. Diversity is fantastic - please don’t worry that these videos are not polished productions.

Thank you for your judgement of the RME Dac, no joke so I can better judge your personal preferences than before. For me its a great DAC and Amp and with all its settings one of the best around its price range. I wonder where these these different opinions come from ( and believe me I am one who really compares, who knows real expenasive stuff and who is surely not deaf 😉)?! A hint if you may give your opinion, I think digitasl is the better format in the end 😉 and this might be the starting point for the explanation of the different opinon. One last statement not to defend myself but to give a little bit of an overviwew i have seen I am not the only one with this opinons 😀
@anadialog
@anadialog 4 ай бұрын
No of course, I know that my statement is 100% unpopular but after all the hype I really was expecting more. Don’t take me wrong, as I said for the price it’s a great dac but compared to the Holo Audio May KTE and now my T+A D200 (which are three or four times for expensive) it’s just at the bottom of my list. Plus I had difficulties in using it to record to my decks because it has a very high output signal that distorted all my recordings.

@@anadialog first of all ty for your reply. To start with the reasons I like the RME and i have the non pro version which is build for Hifi use primarily is the absolute clarite, instrument seperation and neutrality of sound, which are the most important facts for Hifi gear in my opinion. You can run all kinds of headphones and the possibility to change the sound in case of need is better than you find in any other DAC/Amp. Depending on the headphone equilising can be very useful. I have a headphone which just sound good with equilising, ok others benefit less but its always good to hzave. Now we come to an important point. I looked the Dac you mentioned up and its around 6 times the price and just for a DAC and no headphone amp and i am sure, the Holo audio does not sound 12 times better with a headphone amp of same quality 😀😀 It might sound better and when you look at the price it should but 12 k is way above my budget, its not that I am not willing to pay so much its that my biography made my focus on science not money so 12 k is just out of any possibility. It seems to me that at least some self proclaimed audiophile seem to forget not everybody was born with a golden spoon in his mouth (no personal offense intended) ;P Last but not least there is the question of taste. I am happy that you as an analogue fan are not totally blind for digitalk qualities as some I must say ideology based folks are. I see some advantages in analogue recordings and there a tons of crappy digital ones the main resond mmight be they were recoreded when loudness war and other stupidities were at its peak but a modern DSD or other Hi Resrecording in a good mastering beat EVERY analogue and many CDs most analogue recording in my opinion. I strengthen this argument just for clarification because in my experience without this debates often pass each other. in the end enjoying the music for everybody should be the most important not showing of with Hifi gear or fighting ideologically based wars as some do and nobody really can win. So I wish everybody to enjoy the music, bye. P.S.: I am not recording with my device so I cannot comment on this and now I might put on a record to enjoy analogue sound 😃

@@anadialog maybe one last point beside many other disadvantages the noise floor of vinyl really bothers me a lot so even if a digital recording might be worse the quietness especially in silent passages and I listen mostly to Classic and Jazz and all this cracking and klicking during a Brandenburg concerto from Bach is just annoying. Ok and last but not least often I prefer streaming because sometimes I enjoy both listening to music and reading and its really no fun to get up every 20 minutes to change record.
@Konspiration100
@Konspiration100 4 ай бұрын
@@anadialog sorry can't stop thinking about that now maybe an important hint is as well I hear mostly with my Hifiman HE 1000 se which is a very highly resolving planar magnetic headphone and shows you the flaw of a recording or the noise way before lets say an average dynamic speaker.

Referring to RME ADI - its sound correction possibilities are practically unlimited, so whether it sounds the way we like it is a matter of consistent, precise iteration of corrections. It took me almost a month, but in the end its sound perfectly matched my listening room, my hearing physiology and my preferences.

I had speakers very similar to those from the first video as ATL HD308i (the i stands for Isophon Chassis). Hans Deutsch (that's where HD comes from in mine) as in the video, they were later called after the separation from ATL, but I couldn't find the type designation and the cassis manufacturer. Special features are bass reflex "horn" and that the music plays in front of the box and not in it.
@ju6452
@ju6452 4 ай бұрын
That first system is mine😊. The HD 308 mk2 where the last ones built in licence from H. Portscheller in Worms. The case was made in the Black Forest in CNC manor. As I remember the chassis where Wavecor as Mr. Portscheller told me because Isophon was no longer availlable. The sound really is in front of the speakers and the reproduction is very natural and true. If you have a bad vinyl or recording, you hear that. The speakers are built like an instrument, meening the corpus is swinging like the corpus of an instrument as Hans Deutsch ment it to be to make the most natural reproduction. The Horn Resonator increases the size of the the woofer, soundwise, so you get a deap and very fast base. If you close your eyes, you know that because you had such speakers, you think the speakers are much bigger. I ❤ them.

The 3rd presentation - from Germany I guess - has some room treatments and that was unnoticed. It should be rewarded! At the last presentation - from Oklahoma - beside the annoyingly slow presentation, you can see and hear totaly untreated room with lots of reflections caught by mic.... I don not know, but spending money on Mcinotsh gear and 0 for room treatment... it is very unbalanaced act, maybe due to poor hearing - long reaction time. Sorry for cynicism, but the room treatment is half of a good sound.

Poor old Guido - he wants high quality videos and he gets a bunch of stuff that looks like it was shot on a potato 😂 Re commentary (or lack thereof): in fairness, you have an English-language channel and many of your viewers may be people that don't speak the language particularly well or at least aren't confident enough to lend their voice to the video, which is understandable. That said, if all the commentary does is list a bunch of manufacturer names/ model numbers, there's not much point anyhow. It would be nice to have something that's a bit more engaging to listen to and tells a bit of a story as to how/ why they have what they have etc, but again, this goes back to the point I've made about confidence/ ability the person has in speaking.
