Everytime I hear this song I think of the first time I heard it my first semester in college, 2nd week of orientation 1990. I needed a haircut, and someone told me to go this this dorm. This one guy was cutting everybody's hair for 10 bucks and almost every Black and Latino guy on campus was in this one room. I made life long friends that day, but this song coming through somebody's speaker blew my head away. "Who is this group?!?!?" Oh, That's HI FIVE!!! I insisted I needed a ride to the local shopping mall to get this album the next day!!

I'm 44, losing my hair, going gray, eyesight sucks and am about to become a grandfather but when I hear this I am instantly back to a junior in high school hanging out with friends at Kmart smelling the fresh popcorn, listening to the Blue Light Special announcements over the loudspeaker system. Music is the only thing that keeps me young these days.
