I know lol all we got was interviews! no variety shows at all! and i knew we wouldn't get any because suhyun has the akmu camp tour! and probably year end stuff since she is a rookie. i wish he just gave hayi a nice long and proper promotion for the end of the year instead of this sub unit and the gdyb one!

Choominator Annanas exactly!!! even if Soohyun has her concert stuff, he could have still send out Lee Hi to do more variety and radio show appearances. I used to think that maybe shes on hiatus because of her studies but after reading those articles, its quite obvious that the girl has been going through depression for all this time and has been dying to promote. it almost feels like shes crying out for help in these articles. or maybe she just gave up asking him in person because he never listens to her and so shes making it public. the fact that she has signed a 10 year contract with YG is not helpful. if those goes on, i can see her becoming the first YG singer to file a lawsuit to end the contract

basboosa T.T don't want her to file a lawsuit because yg does give her good music but i feel like she will be treated like 2ne1. with not having good tv or radio promotions. Hopefully the company improves her promotion. i think going on a show like immortal song will do wonders for her! she can be in the public eye but it's something that is musical and will help her improve her stage presence and gain more respect of artists and the public. I REALLY REALLY want to see hayi do her own music. like compose or write lyrics. she has shown a lot of interest in being involved with making of her music so I will probably forgive all the bad promotion over the past 2 years is her next album(which she said is being prepared) has something that she helped with. omg that would make me so happy and i'm sure she will be super happy. i would hate that for the next ten years we only get something from her every 2-3 years. that would be awful. i'm sure she would not be okay with that. these ten years in yg are her prime. she needs to build a strong base now before it gets harder. right now her base is okay. but i don't think she has solidified it.

Choominator Annanas I don't think she even needs to improve her stage presence at all. She has great stage presence as a singer. It's just that, in the K-pop world, a lot of K-pop fans define "stage presence" based on what they see idols doing (cartoonish acting, trendy dance moves, exaggerated "sexy" flirting etc.). But if you think about globally well-known singers who are best known for their vocal artistry, they don't do any of that idol type stuff. People like Norah Jones or Adele just stand (or sit) behind a mike and sing beautifully (just like Lee Hi did in several of her songs in K-popstar). Looking at the way that idol fans critique Lee Hi's acting and facial expressions (all of which are actually fine for a singer), I feel like vocal artists like Norah Jones or Adele would have never become famous if they had started out in the K-pop world. That said, I'm certain that in her hiatus time she is working on such things and -- since she is part of the K-pop scene -- I guess that's important to some extent. I just don't think that YG should use such things as "aegyo" and "stage presence" as excuses to keep her from performing in public. It's pretty clear from her "It's Over" MV that she can do those things perfectly well anyway, when that is the concept of the MV. And I think the type of MVs that AKMU got for their debut are also the type that Lee Hi should have been getting (on-location filming in interesting places/clear storylines/other actors to work with and react to/avoiding dark symbolism and themes). She finally got one with the "I'm Different" MV and did spectacularly well in it. She does/did have a huge fan base who just love watching her singing on stage. Just doing some really well recorded covers of songs like "You, So Far Away," and Lee Moon Sae's "Whistle" would be really good. (Some of my favorite 2NE1 videos are actually the ones where they are sitting in the studio and doing interesting new arrangements of their popular songs. I don't see any reason why Lee Hi shouldn't be allowed to do that with some of the fantastic, grossly under-promoted other songs in her "First Love" album.)
