Funny you say Chidori as the overwhelming favorite cause, while he is incredible (and super hot I wanna marry him), I've noticed most people tend to gravitate towards Hisui as their number one. Definitely feels like she is the fan fav, at least among the fans I've talked to

You know I've seen it roughly 50/50 for Chidori or Hisui lmao. I'm just biased cause Chidori's my favorite 😭

My immediate embarrassment at being called out when when you predicted people saying Chidori is their favourite LOL. He's not my current #1, but he was for a lot of the story. I wouldn't underestimate how many people would vote for Hisui, though. (My current favourite is a certain slighted ex-Keeper who just adopted himself a new little sister. I'm *very* interested in learning more and seeing where the story will take him.)

Chidori is my favorite lmaoo. I've seen a lot of Hisui fans too though. (that's a very good choice and I understand why lol)

... Man, I don't even know who I'd pick for a favorite character. Hisui is of course top tier, but there are just many bits and pieces I like in other characters, particularly in their interaction with D. Hibiki and D's contrast is excellent. And his impact on D's view of humans cannot be overstated either. They use each others' convictions to keep fighting for their own end. (Manga spoilers:) And even when confronted with Hwalipon at first, Sakurama ponders if he could have been reasoned with like D. It's only after witnessing the utter glee the monster had in murdering a Dragon Keeper (his sister) that Sakurama snaps. Hisui's comment on Sakurama living in a fantasy world was sadly on point. I think something I enjoy about this manga is how through D's limited point of view and the few glimpses we see from others, we can guess other characters around going through their own personal arcs. Sakurama is one of them, but I think I'm fascinated by Eigen Urabe too. Because we don't see any of his big belief shift scenes, only the afterward of them, yet we can retrace how he developed easily.

I'm honestly stuck between D and Chidori for my favorites, but there are A LOT of other characters that I really like too. The crazy part about that is that D told Sakurama straight to his face that he was going to kill all of the dragon keepers which you think would be an inconsistency with Sakurama's character but in that moment he's fully expecting to fix the ranger force and save his sister before D can get to that point. Urabe is one of those characters who just feel like they're going to have a much bigger role in the future lol

Ranger Reject was the fan translation name for the manga. It's also the official name for the Spanish version, I believe.
