For the breaking at the lights, you can probably change the regenerative breaking level (in the app) and it will engine brake as you lay off the throttle. Play around with that setting as you like.

When the scooter is on (Hiboy) press the power button 4 times quickly to change between mph to kmh and vise versa, I figured this out on my Max Pro.

They sent me one of these recently but I can't get air to go into the back tire to save my life... front tire is no problem, and the valve attachment works fine with the Ninebot. 🤷‍♀

If you dont have a sidewall problem or bead issue, use tire slime or armordilloz in the tire and then fill it up, guaranteed it will stay inflated.

Ninebot slows down when you let off due to brake regen. You can change the level in the app and make it pretty much free flow too.

I would avoid this one. The tires getting flat and possibly causing excessive work and damage will be a pain over time.

I bought a ninebot f30 last weekend. Already wish i had something faster. Braking is great though. And when I let off the throttle, the regenerative braking works great. Really slows me down. And it has cruise control. So thats nice.

Same here man. My $200 scooter feels faster then my f30.But yeah that braking,cruise control and price was not bad I got it for about 350 I think

@@OGskater818 I would up trading my F30 (paid $200) plus $100 ($300 total) for a Niu kqi3 Max and couldn't be happier. 23-24 mph with my fat ass on there. The tires are self healing, don't have to kick to get going. Dual disc breaks in the front and a single in the rear. (that may be backwards, not sure right now. Not looking at it). Has the generative braking, cruise control and I think the handlebars are even wider too. And the battery is pretty badass!

Ninebot had cruise control until an update. They deactivated it because of the danger that when you jump off, it continues to drove and may damage something/something. At least here in germany. Never update! I didn‘t and had a custom firmware since day one…

Of the complaints id say the battery brick thing is legit. You should be able to store the recharging equipment on the scooter, the brick is bigger than the scooter. Its cushier becuse of the tube tires.

@@boby9397 yep. It’s stored on the scooter. Where do you store that brick on the other one? You’d need a backpack or something. That’s more weight in your backpack and space. Camera equipment is already heavy. Especially sigma lenses and the camera batteries too.

if you like a squishy ride, I mean cushy, just under inflate those tires a couple of kPa . You'll feel the difference. I usually over inflate my tires because I like to go fast but it's a harder feeling ride so you may not like it.

One con you didn't mention is that the battery is in the deck, making it likely impossible to replace. Oh, one last con- riding it is dorky- but as long as it's for photography that can be overlooked ;p

Nah it's not, it pretty easy actually after you remove the screws at the bottom. BUT the batteries use to be $80 and now they are $135

@@GameUnkasa I looked at a few more reviews of the old model, I see now the battery can be removed, not a huge cost to replace. BUT, the dead bricking due to bad electrical connections (widely reported on previous version) and the 300 dollar fix, change to pneumatic tires, removal of regenerative breaking, and change from disk to drum brakes all point towards another throw away product. Like many now, I research everything very well before I consider a purchase and I do not believe anything a creator has to say about anything.

Pretty gnarly to see you this early Flannel Boy, also damn 32km for a round inner city trip, my big ass city from one end to another is merely 11km with curves and everything. Canada seems to be less and less attractive by the day aside from Canadians themselves... the old ones but that's a topic that will get me flagged if i go on. Also the brick is to control power changes so your machine doesn't get fried

When I was in the states (LA to be exact) my best friend was uScooters (eTwow) Booster Plus S. It was 13 kg, very portable, highly maneuverable. Then I bought Zero 10x thinking that I'm "upgrading" but I'm not happy with it. It's big and heavy (35kg), It's higher to the ground which makes it harder to maneuver, has air tires which failed 4 times already... Miss my old one.

i don't get why these have no cargo area. it'd only need a box to be a 100x more useful, maybe 40 cm longer and you'd be able to bolt a eurobox on it. sure you wouldn't go full speed in the turns when there's a heavy load on it. maybe the box could be foldable so you always potentially have it but it isn't in the way when you have nothing to carry

Be careful on these things. Other vehicles know how to deal with them less than even motorcycles. I have a life time injury from riding one that went 40mph because an F150 pulled out in front of me. Had full riding gear on, including motorcycle rated helmet, its the only reason I only broke my foot. Have a metal plate in it now fusing all the bones. Still can't walk right. Granted the one I was on was more powerful than these, still, be careful!

First, you WANT the power brick to be external, this is to save weight as the segway has it on the inside, thus making it 1.9 pounds heavier. Secondly, car tires are tubeless, yet they get flats. Funny how you are ok with using the imperial system for weight, but can't figure out how fast you're going with the same system. You're dumb. lol. Just kidding. I'm currently living in Guatemala and they do the same thing. Use pounds for weight, but metric for everything else. As an american, I do like the metric system better, except for temperature.
