Bob was a class act, true custom gunsmith, and had the best customer service. Losing someone who will take the time to call you back about your gun while he's at an awards banquet, where he's being honored, is going to be missed.

Bob Munden was my first inspiration and idol. I remember watching old VHS videos of him and was always amazed by his whit and charm. He made shooting look and feel like Christmas morning. I guess we all have people we look up to as a kid, Bob Munden was it for me. I am 100% sure that you are some kid's Bob Munden. Keep doing exactly what you are doing my friend.

ImRamro i think he was the fastest draw there ever was! X2 ! - not only could he draw the gun out of the holster faster than anyone, he aimed from the hip - instinctive shooter

The fact that you got a hold of one of Munden's guns is amazing to me, I remember seeing him on television as a kid and I've always been pretty impressed by what he could do. Definitely one of the greats.

I saw that show too. But American Shooter was earlier if I remember right. I was blown away by his 600 yard balloon shot with a S&W .44 mag.

Mr. Bob Munden was a great entertainer as well as a great shootist. The day I heard of his passing I felt the same way as when I learned of the passing of Charlton Heston. Part of me felt like it had died those days. Thank you and your son for doing these videos you are in my mind continuing the works of these two great Americans by representing all gun owners in a positive, educated, entertaining, ethical and moral manner.

Bob used to give training on his fast draw methods and there were only 2 pistols that he would allow and that was the Colt SAA and the Ruger Vaquero. Anything else and he would send you home. Stay sharp Wild Bill.

Wow! What a great gun to get to shoot. The only thing I know about Bob Munden is what I have seen on TV but he was amazing. Seeing someone take a single action pistol and shoot over their shoulder and hit a target 200 yards away was incredible. He seemed like a nice man and had a real dry sense of humor. When you had the loading gate open it looked like the cylinder would keep spinning forever if you just gave it a little push. It must be smooth as silk. Thanks for showing us that special firearm and remembering a great pistoleer..

Bob Munden used to have a regular spot on "American Shooter", hosted by Jim Scoutten. I recall Bob hitting a balloon at 200yds with a 2" S&W J-Frame revolver. An amazing talent with a firearm!

I just today purchased a new birds head Ruger New Vaquero .45 Colt. Just felt so much more substantial and "quality" in my hand after handling a less expensive colt clone, what I was originally thinking that I wanted. There was just no comparison. Simply felt compelled to spend twice as much for it compared to the less expensive clone after seeing those beautiful Talo grips with the contrasting Ruger emblem and feeling how comfortable it was in my hand. A great companion to my CVA Scout V2 45-70. Eager to get out to do some target shooting with both really soon. THANK YOU for your ongoing videos, commentary and reviews hickok45. MANY of us greatly respect, appreciate and look forward to your guidance and humor.

Bobs shop was up here in Montana, in Butte. he worked on four of my Rugers. i'm in Missoula, and would make the 100 mile trip over to either drop one off or pick one up instead of mailing them, just so i could chat him up. he was great, and i miss him dearly. this is great Hickok45, thanks

I have a similar Vaquero in 45 acp I know it’s not a traditional revolver rd but that pistol is such a sweet shooter, almost no felt recoil and it’s very accurate. It has become my favorite firearm

Bob Munden put on an exhibition at our Jr High about 1972. I don't know who in the school system approved, it but I am forever grateful! He is so fast that he could, draw, fire twice and reholster, in a blink of the eye. Unbelievably fast!

The good old days. In today's world kids are "protected" from this sort of thing. We "protect" them to the point where their perception of the world is quite warped, I think. Maybe this explains why so many of them have nothing more interesting to do than perfect their rioting skills.

Called Munden Enterprises and got Bob himself. I could not believe that I was actually talking to him, AND we talked for almost an hour. Almost like talking to an old friend. Sent him my Bisley for his custom work. When it came back, I had loads of fun letting people try it. Their eyes went as wide as their smiles with that warm butter smooth action. He made that Ruger turn into Day from Night. It's so sad that he is gone now.

Bob used blanks to do the 2 shot balloon trick shot, the burning powder that came from the barrel was enough to pop the balloons even at 10 feet away. I had a few of his VHS tapes and even a half dollar coin he shot in the air. He was a legend.

It was so fast it sounded like 1 shot. I saw him do it live and couldn't hardly believe it. When they run the video in super slow motion you can see 2 distinct shots fired.
