The namesake for this mix, Hidden Agenda, defined Liquid Funk. There will never be another production duo like the brothers Mark and Jason Goodings. When I was just a young 16 yo punter, I heard their first record at a warehouse party and my life was changed forever. Their influence on the scene was massive and this mix reflects that. Mark's passing in '16 was a shock and he left this plane of existence too soon. But we have the music and in it he lives on. Props to you Indigo78 for sharing this. Undoubtedly introducing a whole new group of ears to these amazing masterpieces of sampler / sequencer majik. ✌

Mate, as this mix pours, I feel it in my veins. (no, im not on drugs lol, those days are gone, I'm 31 y/o) Thank you for this input. I don't know anything about the OG's that crafted the sounds 'm hearing, but I'd love to learn. Can ya point me to some quintessential works, in your opinion? 808s I forget what is? For manipulating drums? At first thought you were talking about 303s. I wasn’t hearing 303s acid bass. These lot more to do 303s than typical disco acid bass. But would take forever (days) for me just to get there. It was hard to get using audio tool. No sampled presets. Depth, deep plunge, huge swallowing type effect whatever.

It's worth hunting down used or older copies of these comps so I can rip and listen in order instead of being interrupted by potential KZfaq adverts every few minutes. In Japan, most of the KZfaq commercials start off with screaming or some other loud noise and they're mostly unstoppable. So I like checking the comps here then going out to find the CD versions if possible.
