Belgium, is probably one of the most underrated countries in Europe. It is often skipped by travellers and when they do visit, it often remains with a quick visit to the cities. But beyond those are a lot of hidden gems waiting to be discovered!
In this video I am going to take you to 10 fantastic pieces of nature in Belgium, even a lot of locals don't know about! So here are some true hidden gems in Belgium you should explore if you are interested in going off the beaten path and explore some true nature!

Suggest you add the hike to, and view from, the Bec du Corbeau (Crow's Beck) overlooking Vielsalm in the Ardennes. Most foreigners see Belgium as a flat country, they just forget that about one third of its territory is covered by the Ardennes, "Europe's shortest mountains".

Europe's shortest mountains, at least in the sense of the most compact mountain range, are the Slovak High Tatras (they're less than 200 sq km wide, i.e. hardly more than the Brussels metropolitan region). Having said that, the Ardennes are a great place and it's sad that they're only visited by locals and by the neighbouring Dutch. They deserve more publicity in the wider world.

Ik heb net het boekje over Belgie (mijn land) besteld. Er zijn zoveel mooie plekken in Belgie, en niet enkel in Antwerpen, Brussel, Gent en Brugge !

Goed gezegd ! Ben zelf op zoek naar mooie natuurplaatsjes, waar ik desnoods een nachtje in m'n auto kan overnachten. Ik ben van Brugge, dus moest je wat tips hebben. Merci! (aja, ik ben al een tijdje niet meer goed te been, dus het zou bijna al meteen terplaatse moeten zijn, waar ik mijn auto kan parkeren)

@@Worldwanderista Zeker! Ik heb er 4 jaar gewerkt (St. Truiden en omgeving) en zelfs kampeerspullen in de auto gehad maar nooit de omgeving verkend. Heel dom natuurlijk. Zeker nu ik de prachtige beelden van jouw video zie! Ik moet toch nog maar eens teruggaan 😉

I will be moving to Belgium in a couple months, so this video is perfect. I am looking into the drone laws and wonder what you are using, and what legal challenges you may have faced? Looks like anything over 250g requires registration, to include any attachment added weight, like the prop guards needed when around people. Thanks

Hi! I use the DJI Mini 2: amzn.to/3OcuX2b. Even though it is below 250gr I registered it and did the theoretical exam just to be safe. I wanted to be sure to know the rules and to be responsable.

I live in Las Vegas and every time I see a video from Belgium, Holland, France, etc I love to watch it! Great job on the video! If you're ever in the US visit Vegas, you'll love it!
