County Councils have a 3 tier priority list when it comes to Social Housing - 1) Ukrainians 2) All other Migrants 3) The Irish It should also be noted that the vast majority of Ukrainian refugees went East to Russia when the War started - why would they flee West to seek protection from those who have been slaughtering their citizens since 2014 - So the majority of those coming into Ireland are from areas unaffected by War - that explains why they can go home for holidays - and also why there are over 2,000 hotels taking bookings online - over 10,000 properties available to rent if you include flats apartments guest houses etc - which would beg the question - why are those fleeing War not staying there...?
