According to the series’ lore, the science ancients reverse engineered fecto elfilis’s spacial teleportation abilities and used it to leave “the dwindling star” as the game calls it and crossed into planet popstar. Nothing catastrophic happened on the planet as far as we know. But it is implied to be thousands of years later, which adds up since that’s enough time for the landscape to drastically change.

I was always confused why the 2nd stage of Originull Wasteland was a villa and why the beginning of the 1st was so open, but knowing that the area is actually a dried-up ocean is really sick and makes a lot of sense.

Wikirby says the original goes like this: "We provide harmony in families and happiness in life through the power of science... based upon this ideal, I'll exterminate you savages!" Does that sound like the ideal of someone who WOULDN'T still mechanize planets?

One other fun detail is that (like every other Kirby game after 2011) Using the first letter of each world will spell something out: *N*atural Plains *E*verbay Coast *W*ondaria Remains *W*inter Horns *O*riginull Wasteland *R*edgar Forbidden Lands *L*ab *D*iscovera Yes I know Lab Discovera is cheating but it is very clear that this is intended. Also, ain't it kinda funny how the Forgotten Land, abandoned ages ago is commonly referred to as a "new world"? Well, I guess it's new to Popstar's residents.

To me, Winter Horns marks a tonal transition from the whimsy of the new world to contemplation of those who were here before. The worlds before felt bright and so full of life, but by Northeast Frost Street the dilapidation becomes way more apparent, the music is far more mellow and chill (pun entirely intended), and the season of winter holds a literary symbolic meaning as the season of death or endings. Of course, we know the ancients didn’t actually die here, but it still fits tonally and gets us to really reflect on this lost civilization.

@@TacosandTopHats7 Every single letter in the forgotten language (as I like to call it) is just a warped version of a regular letter, so if you substitute them one by one you wind up with messages written in plain-old english, you can see this most clearly during the credits where english subtitles get shown directly on top of forgotten subtitles

@@porkfacethegreat426Surely the cool part of the story would have been the open, playable, living breathing world, built for at least a season’s worth of content, before the arc was introduced where the paint of that society starts to fade and the political intrigue and environmental crisis begin to spell the end, and the gradual collapse of society before the last-ditch effort. The ruins are cute and interesting, but they are no way the cool part of this world’s story.

Ironically, there's no actual apocalypse scenario to be had anywhere in the background story. It's just the ruins of a world abandoned by those who _decided_ to leave it. That doesn't count. There was no mass-extinction type event that destroyed the world's original inhabitants. Fecto Elfilis could have become that for this world, but it was stopped and instead became the source of the advanced technology that let the original inhabitants leave the workd.

I’d argue that the final world is more of a Pompeii kind of situation, but more fucked up, as not only is an entire city now turned into a grave yard, but the people at Lab Discovera immediately built factories (that are still functional) over the place to harvest the geothermal energy (likely to power Lab Discovera). We also see Beast Pack art and symbolism everywhere here, showing that the beast pack has made this place their new home.

Fun fact: Kirby was never really meant to be a good guy. He was meant to destroy the world and eat it this is been stated in the original manga series he is essentially a black hole with legs this is probably one of the reasons why it’s kind of hard for them to create new Kirby games because in some of the series for the books he becomes evil for some reason I haven’t gotten to that part yet

Forgotten land might be the best kieby game honestly, its so good, only negatives are there could be more copy abilities and its kinda short/ lacks post game stuff but most kirby games dont have much in terms of post game

Not new to Kirby, believe it or not Kirby has a HUMAN friend since return to dream land 2/3 (forgot) who doesn't know where they came from. In the Crystal Shards the shivverstar world is oddly an arctic wasteland shaped as earth, complete with abandoned factories. All of this to imply, this missing civilization responsible for building all of these reality warping relics are supercivilized HUMAN. That's long since abandoned their planet in hopes of escaping a threat that cut their numbers. (Assumed to be dark matter or one of its incarnations). What happened in Forgetten lands is essentially a half baked Noa's ark, leave the animals and sail for hyperspace(they built the lore starcutter btw) . Before their relics were introduced, the world of Kirby was truly original in that everything was totally devoid of human influence: puffballs, penguins, ice dragons everything and anything ourside the human mind could conjure but never manifest. So to the player, it delibertly should be odd whenever they see something... manmade. In the vastness of the cosmose of universe so very very far away aa if its almost make believe made real. With Forgotten land, and real life animals, it's all but confirmed. Our history, is very likely canon to Kirby.
