7:00 Yeah, that definitely didn't work for Russia in WW1, because Germany had deloyed a certain superweapon called Lenin. Do look up the treaty of Brest-Livostok, which was then ratified by the Bolshevik government. Given that Imperial Russia ceased to exist and the Bolsheviks accepted an enormous loss of territory, that wasn't exactly a win for Russia.

regardless, later on Russia fought itself and ended up with Stalin who factory reset the whole country and return it to USSR (Russia) stronk. for a while at least then came 1991 and Russia is weaker than ever; Russian empire & USSR were as big as they were because they also had Ukraine, Russia on the other hand is on its own, fighting against its former puppet state (now independent)

9:09 Fun fact: They had an international meeting in the mid/late 1930's about creating a single international outlet to use worldwide (since not many electronics that needs an outlet were being used at the time), then a little event took place that scrapped that whole idea entirely, which happened to be know as World War 2. After the war, we had so many electronics invented that uses an outlet, adapting a single international outlet will be a major pain, so we have to use adaptors whenever we travel.
