Cool detail: In the PS2 game Jak 2, there are fires burning in barrels in one section of the game. If you hit these barrels from above, the fire actually damages you. This is impossible to do accidentally.

Apparently it takes a human body (in normal conditions) 12 hours to be cool to touch and 24 hours to be cold to the core (source is the Australian Museum) Really enjoy your videos

Yeah but it also does depend on climate they can be hot a lot longer if it's a high temperature area and or get colder faster if in a colder environment

This is a clear case of video game time. In gameplay, time is accelerated to account for things like day/night cycles, passing of time for events to occur, etc.

Imagine you had to sit there for 12-24 Hours to see the Body get cold. It would be the Video Game Equivalent of watching Grass grow or Paint dry.

@@MikayaAkyo Exactly, and the same goes for knocking someone out, it's not that quick, it can cause brain damage and usually they wake up within minutes/seconds of you releasing your hold. That wouldn't work in a game either.

Probably my favorite Fallout skeleton: In Fallout 3, in the Whitehouse Plaza sewer, there's a car between 2 ramps made of wood across the room from a motorcycle lying on its side. About halfway between, there's a skeleton hanging from a light on the ceiling & missing the bottom half of its body. Its legs are on on the second ramp.

Another nice detail you can see in the Blue Shift camera room - one of the cameras you switch to right before the guard shows a woman in an HEV suit pushing a cart with a crystal in it. Not only is that the same crystal Gordon Freeman later pushes, but that woman is one of the two protagonists of Half-Life: Decay, a two-player co-op expansion of the original Half-Life.

That's just a carry over from the original Blue Shift. I wouldn't call that a "detail" of BM:BS, more of just sticking to the original game.

Also an oversight on the Black Mesa devs, likely from using HL2 assets, but the laptop charger is using a European wall socket, despite Black Mesa being in the American Southwest.

@@Maverick128 It *is* Dr. Breen. BM:BS uses the default HL2 screen glitch texture as an overlay, the texture itself is supposed to be used when the Breencast screens are damaged in Anticitizen One and beyond (for example, when the rebels pull down the screen in City 17's square). The first few frames are Dr. Breen's face being distorted, and for non-Breencast uses in HL2 they just tell it to skip those. Apparently the Black Mesa team either forgot to do this, or didn't know to do it in the first place.

@@trianglemoebius Been seeing comments about "It might be Gman" here. Yeah it's Breen, I think for the moment that's not a mistake from HECUC, I think it's a place holder. They're only up to chapter 4 now with the Blue Shift remake, so I think the Breen Screen is just a placeholder until they make their own.

Talking of tragic skeletons, in Kingdom Come Deliverance ther are numerous graves, but if you hop over the back wall of the Uzhitz church you can find the skeleton of a lady with a fetus skeleton still inside (perhaps a pregnancy out of wedlock), and another one with a stone in its mouth and shackles presumably because they thought it was a vampire... Interestingly they are buried outside the church grounds on non concecrated ground but as close to it as possible, meaning they were buried by someone who loved them. 😢

I noticed in MX vs ATV untamed if you get your vehicle or character dirty, you can drive through water to clean off. Nothing crazy but it's something not many games do

For Video Game Easter Eggs/References to other Video Games: In Zombie Army 4's Ragnarok Part 2 DLC during the first "Survive the Ambush" objective, one of the characters, when giving story exposition about the beginning of the universe, says the line "In primordial space, timeless creatures made waves." This is referencing the exact same line from Marathon 2 of the famous Marathon series.

This is a detail I literally just discovered, while playing Batman Arkham Asylum, when first entering the Botanical Gardens just before you go into the room where Joker throws a guard in the electrified water, you can go into the generator room and shut it off beforehand and then unlock a whole new cutscene where Joker just blows up the hallway.

So, for the heat, i just checked : the body lose 2°C (dunno in F) the 1st hour, then 1°C until reaching room temperature.

The speed at which a body appears cold on thermals depends on the heat range of the thermals. If it's only a 10 degree range it'll chill fairly quick, maybe not 50 seconds tho

For some reason I decided to research this by looking at Thermal camera combat footage. During the course of the attack (Drone footage). The killed soldiers went from having a heat signature all over, to just having a signature coming from their head/hands (So visible body parts). Any area of the body covered by clothing turned dark to where it would be extremely difficult to differentiate if it was a human or part of the environment. I have no clue as to how long the footage spans over. But I would guess it was less than an hour. The environment probably played the main part in cooling their clothing down post-morten.

In the Prisoner of Azkaban game, there's another fun detail as well. In the outdoor areas of the map, the player has the option of riding Buckbeak around the castle grounds, which is useful for getting to items to collect items for in-game missions. However, Buckbeak won't allow Ron to fly him, This makes sense when you realise that Ron was the only one of the player characters that didn't get to ride him in the book or film.

Cool detail when the guard in black mesa trows the wrench and the static appears you can see a face in the static possibly the man in the suit.

Nope, you see Wallace Breen. It's a placeholder no doubt, because it's an asset from Half Life 2. Yes he's the administrator of Black Mesa, but that was his model from HL2 that can be seen in the later stages of the game.

Although it takes around 12 hours for a human body to cool, thermal imaging isn't actually calibrated with its lower ends at 0° - almost everything is above that, so if it did, everything would show up orange or yellow and it'd be impossible to navigate. Instead, thermal vision is calibrated so that the cold values start around 23°C (74°F), sometimes slightly lower or higher depending on the intended environment. While a body would still be warm after a few minutes, it would have cooled enough to appear as just above 'cold' on most heat vision googles.

In the crew 2, there's an Emmett Brown grave in salem in which you didn't cover. It's located on the "Kidonal" building closest to the water and is facing a wall, it cannot be viewed with the maps camera and will need a vehicle put against the wall at an angle

heres a good detail: On GTA 4 if you are hanging with little jacob (Who smokes a lot of "ajem" )and have a car with a broken window there will be a certain kind of smoke what comes out of the window

In Clive Barker's Undying (2001), there's a Dispel Magic spell. And several of the most annoying and magical enemies in the game, just pop like soap bubbles if you max upgrade what otherwise seems like a puzzle & utility spell. There's also a hidden shooting gallery in like, the second room of the game. If you beat it, you get the shotgun and a decent stash of ammo for it an hour or two early. Plus some other, really funny Easter eggs later on in the game.

In swtor, if you play the agent storyline and go for the ending where you join the republic and then play all the way up to and through shadow of revan you’ll get a secret “after credits” (there are no credits but if there were this is where they’d be) scene where you check in with your handler

Small detail is in Borderlands the Pre-sequel if you play the claptastic voyage dlc in True Vaulter Mode it'll show Tiny Tina and Pickle during the introduction whilst in normal mode they don't appear

Not sure if this has ever been covered but a small detail in Tom Clancy's The Division if you shoot at something like birds, dogs or other small animals NPCs will make comments at you such as "another one wasting ammo

I had to check your other recent videos to make sure you didn’t have this hidden detail about Dead Island 2, and I can confirm it isn’t, so here you go! In Dead Island 2, when you’re doing the quest of finding the smelly bag that Denise threw down the trash chute, you have the ability to carry around that bag to bring it back to Luther. Instead of bringing it to Luther right away, if you carry it around the Serling Hotel safe zone near other characters, they’ll comment on the nasty stench. This includes a conversation where one character accuses the other of letting out a particularly rancid fart

I’m sure someone has already said the first result on google cause that’s how it works, the answer I found (which isn’t the right answer per say and depends on the circumstances like how cool the room is, how hot the body is, is it exposed to rain, is it submerged, etc.) is that the human body after death cools by 1-2 degrees every hour in normal temperatures (78.8f/26c) unless you are in Texas where the body will heat up like a roast turkey on the bbq… that last part was a joke

I guess what I'm thinking of is parodies instead of Easter eggs but what about a video about "The Last of Us"? I've seen different parodies in part 1 such as "Carrie and buddies" aka "Barbie and friends." I think the remake of part 1 removed some from the original but not all of them.
