ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ನದಿಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಬಹು ವಿಶೇಷವಾದದ್ದು ಅಘನಾಶಿನಿ. ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಹಿಂಸೆಗಳಿಂದ ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರುಷಗಳಿಂದ ತನ್ನದೇ ಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಈ ನದಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವ ಇನ್ನೊಂದ್ ನಯನಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಜಲಪಾತ ಇದಾಗಿದ್ದು. ಈ ಜಲಪಾತ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು ೪೦೦ ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಜಲಪಾತ ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಧರೆಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಗಂಗಾ ಮಾತೆಯಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನಾಟ್ಯವಾಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೂರದಿಂದಲೇ ಮಂತ್ರಮುಗ್ಧರನ್ನಾಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರೆ ಈ ಜಲಧಾರೆ ನೋಡಲು 1-2 ಕೀ.ಮಿ. ಟ್ರಕಿಂಗ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಈ ಜಲಪಾತ ತಲುಪಲು 2 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದಟ್ಟ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆದು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು.
