Thanks Chris, for a great history lesson and showing us this bunker "Pillbox" and cave. I am70 and learned something new again. We also had them in the US but the ones I went to in NC were closed and they had no gun turrets on top.👍👍

Hi, Chris, it's simply amazing to be here exploring Nazi WWII bunkers here on the Atlantic wall with you. I'm used to exploring them with WWII History Hunter and his son "Eagle Eyes", so you may have run across the in your travels, they often have HH's daughter "Bunker Buster Girl" with them when she is available. They often travel all across Europe and Poland in their explorations and they may be able to lead you to other interesting locations. God Bless and stay safe.💯🪖

I like to see WW2 videos of history. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I live in Moore County N.C and we have what is called the lost city not far from where i live, and i remember being young and my dad was out drinking and aske if i wanted to see the lost city where it was a small town and everyone just up and left. I was told by a man who was in the same vicinity of woods we were looking and they old man told my father we had about a half mile to a mile more and he pointed the way and my father said, I only brought 4 beets with me, im out and ready for another so we left. My dad used his cans to use for markers on the way out and about 12 urs later i went looking and i found a couple of the natural light cans my dad hung up with one of the cans growing on a limb. I still couldn't find it, and i guess thats why its called the lost city, but i was told a few months ago of an old timer that knows how to get to it, so i hope to find him to show me. There is so much cool history here in N.C. that you could make all kinds of videos, and I personally think you will make the perfect person to make these videos and keep our history going. Thanks, Chris, and may God bless you on your trips.

There is a film called Das boat… trying to get as near the name as poss… The Boat. It’s amazing because it’s based on fact. A little bit surprised at seeing the water lying in the bottom of the bunker. We have been in a few of these and there does always seem to be water on the floor even when not near a river. Lol! Utter nonsense, as usual. Most German tanks for instance were _overengineered_ and even downright unfit for purpose (because too big, not having a powerful enough engine, etc.). The system of overlapping wheels for example was a terrible idea that needlessly complicated repairs in the field. Same for the rifles, the components were too neatly assembled, which sounds good but in fact meant the gun would jam easily because of mud or dust, etc. German bunkers and the like were absolutely wasteful in dearly needed resources and often perfectly strategically useless. Sure, some German things might've been somewhat OK (often by accident, to be frank) but overall, the German incompetence in matters of engineering and production contributed for a large part to their inevitable defeat. @@JGriffin5150
