Despite being friction drive in rainy London, I almost bought this kit, because it's the lightest kit in the market, until i saw that I have to saw off the bike pump holder of my brompton

The meanest set of comments I've come across about any Brompton project. Too many people breakfasting on lemons, if you ask me.

so how would you attach the lines and wiring, metal clamps and drill holes in the frame, you fucking morons should just shut the fuck up and let people think you are stupid instead of running off shit so stupid it almost unbelievable. what have you pissants done lately
@jimmieroan98815 жыл бұрын
WHAT , did you actually say something, what am i defending, what fucking market, yes life is precious, everyone deserves success? have no idea how you got something like that from what i said, my comment or rant simply meant that if you are sitting at home on your lazy fucking ass criticizing someone for thinking out of the ordinary when the world as we know it is consumed with dikwads sitting around with a stupid phone stuck in their ear, or buying things and throwing them away shortly after. now as to your comment, it didn't make sense to me, but i do not find that unusual, i'm always just a little out of kilter and proud of it. if you knew anything at all about consumer products you would realize that more and more items are being attached with zip ties. would i do it, no i wouldn't, ive been building automotive related or repairing such for more years than most of you have been alive. there are some products that are better off attached this way for various reasons, no need to tell you why because you already think you know everything there is to know, that is one of the problems of todays society, when you think you know it all you leave no room to learn. at my age i still run across things i don't understand. but when i defend someone for making an attempt to build something and his way of doing it , and i catch the attention of some prick like you acting like you are smarter than the world it does annoy me a little. the first thing that comes to mind is this, if we all were in a big conference room and you took issue with me, would you still be a smart ass and attempt to piss me off, i kinda doubt it. the internet has made a world of difference for the weak little pissant that is still trying to prove hes a man. i stand behind what i say to anyone, you don't like it, im real easy to find, if you are as smart as you think you are click on my name and come over for a visit, i make a great pitcher of margaritas and i would enjoy meeting you. you have a nice day
@tomasotreasaigh1115 жыл бұрын
@@jimmieroan9881 I agree with you a lot Jim, the world is full of gender fluid morons, you see them roaming around in groups, strange people with dark square eyebrows staring at their phones and sharing makeup tips. They all have opinions and make no mistake they demand to be heard. On the other hand though, it is their life and so long as they dont bother me then I'm fine. I also get annoyed at dickheads with nothing constructive to say, they love talking shit behind the safety of the phone/laptop etc. but they would say NOTHING if they were sat beside you. All that being said though Jimmie, you should probably work on not letting them get you so worked up, its unhealthy cos these clowns are everywhere. I often have to take some deep breaths and count to 10 because some idiot living at home with his mammy decides to get cheeky and blurt out their stupid nasty comments. Anyway I hope life finds you well, peace from Ireland mo chara.

doesn't the friction make your tire wear much more??
@MrLazer12118 жыл бұрын
+Pieterjan P No, my first ebike was a friction setup, rode it for about 2 years to work and back (about 7 miles round trip) never noticed any additional wear the drum that you attach to the wheel doesn't spin against it, it spins with it there's no additional wear over what you would see from normal riding.

@sergefog8 жыл бұрын
I really think that a hub motor would have been a much neater way of doing this. A satellite roller is very inefficient - the frictional loss will be catastrophic, it won't work equally well in all weather and on all tyres...having to cut a pump loop and then put a frame guard makes no sense to me. Ideally you would wanna integrate a hub motor in one of the wheels and maybe a hub battery in another wheel. If you have enough R&D to hide ESC in a hub too it would make this a great product.

Can someone please give me advice. I want to get the electric Brompton kit on my Brompton bicycle. I want to know what I’m getting into before I spend another two thousand dollars. I don’t want a motorcycle. I want a bike for exercise and commuting to work which is long distance. I have been waiting two years to do this but I didn’t have the money, I was ill for two years and was looking for a light weight system since I live in a fourth floor walk up apartment. I always carry the large front bag, a large book bag plus the canvass Brompton carry bag. This adds up to a lot of weight and more than one trip up and down the stairs. At least I have a car to put my stuff in, incase I need to. I have been told that the Brompton company is going to sue any bicycle shop installing kits to their bicycle come September 2016. The closest solution is getting the A to B folding bike made last year 2015. I bought my bike 2014 from NYCE Wheels. I cannot return my bicycle for all the money I spent already. My bike is in excellent condition since I haven’t used it much due to medical reasons I am recovering from. I like that I have a light weight easy to fold, compact bike that fits in a heavy duty small Brompton canvass bag that I can move, store and hide my better than any other bike out there. I want to get the Luna Cycle battery for the lightest most powerful battery. I got this idea from David Sonshine videos on Facebook and KZfaq. I wish I could talk to him or someone but maybe other people would like to read the answers posted. I would like the Grin Satiator for fast charging and a travel battery to take on flights to future vacations. I want to know the difference between the Crystal Lite motor on V-Fiets company compared to the one at NYCE Wheels. You can see the casing on the motor is different. Maybe there is something more advanced or lighter in weight. I also want to know what will happen if after September my kit malfunctions how can this affect me. I am not sure if I will use Green Path Propel Cycle company of NYCE Wheels to install my kit. Im on a budget and I’m actually going to take a loan out to do this. I will be borrowing from my retirement account so the interest is less than five percent. I will be retiring in six years so I will pay this off on time and have enough in there not to worry. I may be stupid for doing this but I don't want a weak low capacity battery or motor by the Brompton company one or two years from now on a peddle asset system. I want the highest capacity battery and the strongest motor while I can get it on a throttle system. The only other thing that bothers me is the life expectancy and cost on the batteries, motor, controller and charger. I need to talk to someone who actually owned one. Can these be bought separately and at an affordable price. I don't want to fall into a money pit or have any regrets. I am also thinking about putting a reduction gear a forty-two teeth chain ring to make it easier going up hills, Tannus tires, in line skate rollers on the rear rack for more stability in use and a kick stand at the B-Fold Bike Shop. Lastly, I think I should buy bicycle insurance to safeguard myself at forty dollars a month for full coverage on all money spent according to the Velosurance video posted on Electric Bike Report. My name is Gerson Mejia my Email is Emailgerson@yahoo.com. My Facebook account name is Gerson Ruso no picture. My home number is 718-647-7337 leave a message. I only screen calls there. I don't use it and will return your phone call on my cell phone when I’m available. Thank you for your cooperation Sincerely Gerson Mejia

This is one of the better designs, however I see some improvements that can be done: 1. Relocating the battery pack that will not interfere with seat post. 2. Relocating the motor so that we dont need to cut the air pump bracket and mud flap.
