For sure. Because he's earned the trust of his fan base with his shear passion. If other devs could somehow overcome the red tape (of money) that prevents them from making great games, we'd have more devs that could do it too.

that's one thing that pisses me off badly, there are so many japanese developers that already speak the bare minimum of english, and kojima who has been for decades in the industry and is so out of touch of japan considering he's japanese, and he has never learned a damn thing of the english language

This game was canned by PlayStation, then picked up by Stadia, and after Stadia failed it ended up in Xbox. He went to the only place he had left to make a cloud game, not "where the money is"

Gonna be interesting to see a major Japanese publisher on Xbox and how this does in Japan. Death Stranding ratings weren’t grate in West but praised massively in East which goes to show. Interested to see what type of game this ends up being and if it does anything to push Microsoft in Japan finally. No matter the money smart move Microsoft
