Ah, Jerven bags, the distant cousins of our Bivvy bags! 😄 Sure, they might share a look, but ours? It's like the James Bond of outdoor gear - sleeker, cooler, and definitely has more tricks up its sleeve!

Extremely interesting and clever designed piece of gear. Exactly what i am looking for as a multi purpose object for bikepacking. Are there any slings or rings as attachement points for the use as a tarp? If yes, how are they distributed on the poncho?
@BushmenPl
@BushmenPl Жыл бұрын
Yes, there are 7 loops, 4 on the corners, one on each of the longer sides and one in the middle of the feet side.

Fantastyczny towar. Najbardziej uniwersalne i najlepiej przemyślane poncho jakie widziałem.

Hi, this looks like a very clever piece of equipment - I love that it can be a bivy, a tarp, and a poncho, all in one item! I have a very important question though:- your safety notice says: "Despite the fact that the outer material is waterproof and vapour permeable, intensive use of HIDEOUT can lead to moisture from the inside. It can come from both condensed water vapor (dew point) and after prolonged contact of the material with water. These are natural phenomena." So my question is (vapour emanating from the body aside, as there is always some small amount of dampness from this source when using a bivy bag) is this product reliably waterproof? For instance, if I use a down sleeping bag in winter with this bivy, and water ingress occurs from "prolonged contact of the material with water", then the sleeping bag's thermal properties will be negated, creating a very dangerous scenario, so I just need your assurance that this will not happen under expected normal use (ie - in heavy rain), before purchasing. Thanks for your help!

The HIDEOUT is made from a waterproof and breathable fabric (3500mmH2O) and has waterproof zippers (IP42), which means it should protect you from most rain and external moisture. However, as stated in the safety notice, intensive use may result in some moisture inside, especially in extreme conditions. It's essential to take measures to protect against external moisture. Ensure that the bivy is properly set up (eg. zippers are on the side) and on its surface does not accumulate water in the form of a puddle for a long time and bivvy it’s not immersed. It is always recommended to use an additional cover, such as a tarp, to minimize the chances of prolonged contact of the material with water. It's also important to remember that using a down sleeping bag in wet and rainy conditions always comes with some risk, even if it is used with high-quality equipment like HIDEOUT. Therefore, it is always recommended to exercise caution and take appropriate precautions to avoid exposure to extreme weather conditions.

To ten sam produkt.

@@BushmenPl Thank You for the answer. It's important. In my opinion the warm version on the papper is one of the best choice on the market right now. Better then Helikon swagman (great equipment too, but with two big disadventages). Keep going with this multifunctional kind of a gear 👍. Good luck.

Can't the bugs get in through the hand slots?
@BushmenPl
@BushmenPl Жыл бұрын
No, the mosquito net closes on hand slots under its own weight, and additionally, its ends are held closed by the body and the external material of the HIDEOUT.

What is this material? Does it breath well?
@BushmenPl
@BushmenPl 8 ай бұрын
Our Bivvy bag is like a winter superhero - it holds warmth like a champ (due to inside silver layer)! As for breathability, well, in this tiny space, a material that's both waterproof and whisks away water vapor so fast it won't have time to condense (especially at the dew point) is like spotting a Yeti. Some say it exists, but there's no concrete proof!

Kupiłem go. 3. Samopompa albo materac do środka - dla lepszej izolacji. 4. Śpiwór albo koc - zależnie od pory roku. Ja dodatkowo, poza karimatą, używam pod biwi podłogi do namiotu, żeby mieć trochę bezpiecznej dla stóp przestrzeni wokół. I podczas ulewy lepiej mieć jeszcze do dyspozycji tarpa albo przynajmniej ponczo (drugie). Do kaptura bez problemu włożymy poduszkę.
