Directly following Munich High End 2024 I drove to Switzerland with a friend and the next day attended along with some of HiFiction's international distributors a classical music concert of Dietrich Buxtehude compositions performed by a quartet at The Reformed Church of Zell, built in the sixteenth century including the tower, which is even older. HiFiction's Micha Huber hosted.
It was a pleasant respite from the four days of show craziness! The next day at the Turbenthal factory, the company introduced its new $40,000 Magnifier moving coil phono preamplifier/preamplifier designed and built in cooperation with Stellavox, AG.
In the video, Stellavox's Stephan Schertler describes the Magnifier's unique zero feedback circuitry followed by an oppotunity to listen to it. Later we got a factory tour conducted by Mr. Huber's father. In this video you'll see how the company's turntables, tonearms and cartridges are designed and manufactured along with a full factory tour..

Love these videos. The aesthetics of both these two TT from Thales and arms are stunning. Swiss engineering is so understated, just beautiful to look at!

Yes I did enjoy it ! They realy put the finger on the inconsistancies of the modern mindset of some high end and digital ......God gave us analog ears ...........and processing & certain corrections will harm the MUSIC ! To learn one has first to unlearn........... Thank you Michael.

I'd like to see a video someday of Michael visiting a tonearm or HiFi component factory in China. Or that odd little company that makes laser based vinyl record players in Japan.

I loved the anthusiasm shown by the electronic engineer engineer, he is certainly not in fond of feedback in any audio circuit

It’s always funny when people joke about old blokes loving their best sounding old turntable and arms machines making clear it’s a lie and any good modern gear is far better thanks to better materials and technology, yet, they proudly use the oldest and massively used and abused gear from ancient factories themselves without clean-rooms on a floating thus vibrating floor. Guys, be serious, this is all cute and nice, but it’s not the perfection expected from swiss - it’s manufacture. If you so will better than modern swiss fabrication in being unique, but not in perfection, ask Rolex, Jaeger le Coultre, Omega, ask some watchmaker of mini series. Still what they do is formidable and at the high end of fabrication in this industry.

Love your videos, but red is a terrible color for subtitles...

you are the first to write that. What color do you prefer that's legible over often busy images?

@@trackingangle929 White or light gray with black outline or yellow with white or black outline. The outline is the key. We see red in a blurry way, like red dial at night. I do like your subtitles content!
