To be honest, I didn’t think John had a clearance like that in him anymore. Incredible stuff, right up there with the Masters clearance vs Ronnie all those years ago. Like they say - form is temporary, class is permanent. 👏🏻

Defo took the bull by the horns with that double, and he could have played safe with the red on the cushion but went for it. That took a lot of bottle and courage.

Hurts being an Irishman tonight. But what can I i do but admire John Higgins. He's a special player. Ive been watching John Higgins since I was 15 years old in the 90s. Im turning 45 years old next monh and Higgins is still at the top. Crazy

That was an incredible clearance. Pressure on every ball really, because one mistake and Allen would be in there to take the match. Higgins probably more relaxed on a 147 than the tension he must’ve been feeling in that frame. Glad he went for the last red too, I didn’t want another ten minutes of safety exchanges and seeing it decided on a poor safety shot. Proper, brave snooker.

Absolutely cracking game, everything that snooker and the crucible is about. If money takes it away from Sheffield I won’t watch another game! Reminded me of the 2020 semis… Games like that don’t come around too often and nine out of ten it happens at the CRUCIBLE. THE HOME OF SNOOKER!

I love John Higgins, and I really really hope that the interviewer could stop bringing the bad thoughts back into John’s mind… He just made one of the best clearance in history and he is enjoying the moment and starts to believe in himself..
