5 жыл бұрынU.S. Air Force High Altitude Airdrop Missions Support physiology technicians conduct high-altitude-low-opening (HALO) jumps from a C-17 over Joint Base Charleston, SC, as part of gaining or renewing qualifications, or to maintain skills. Typically HAAMS HALO jumps are conducted from 20,000 feet and above sea level. Filmed on May 17, 2019.

@@brockking2014 They are Air Force Physiological Technicians. They run the Altitude (& some dive) Chambers, instruct recurrent high altitude training & support tactical units conducting higher altitude jumps. So if you wanted to do a HAHO/HALO train up for your team, they come along for medical & oxygen support.

For what? Women have been jumping for years and parachuting is about as gender neutral as you can get. They aren't special and they shouldn't get praise for things that aren't that big of a deal. Yeah, not many of them have done it, but so what? They want equality and the best thing to do is give them the same praise that you would if it were a male doing it. I would give kudos to everyone that was on the jump, but I've PERSONALLY seen so many of them it simply isn't a big deal.

Humans are made to live on earth and if people move to elements they dont belong to like air or water, this requires guts and courage particularly when performing their profession in these elements. If women do so this even deserves more respect! Therefore: Kudos to the Ladies!

ColorAlti. It's programmable for different altitudes and changes colors on the way down. It gives a rough idea of what altitude you are at, as well as flashing at deployment altitude. Of course it's not an outright replacement for an altimeter. Cheers.

Henry T HALO is reserved for SOF or those who are attached with them. Static line jumps can be done by almost everyone.

High altitude freefall are usually conducted by special operations forces (Delta Force, Pararescuemen, Navy SEALs etc) and specialized units that require it like Navy EODs, Army LRS teams, all these high altitude airdrop mission support teams as well as those parachute test units.

Most likely prescription goggles, since this is a support unit glasses would not disqualify you and if you are above a certain limit (IIRC +-3) you'll do a jump with corrective lenses not sure about what ye yanks use but ours were like these. And no you are not allowed to do a jump with contact lenses or normal glasses as both the shock of the landing/chute deployment as well as the rare case where you would lose your goggles mid jump could result in serious eye injury.

They're either SERE (Suvival Evasion Resistance Escape) instructors or specialized mission support to those PJs.

They’re physiology technicians. If you look closely, you can see “PT” on their helmets. They won’t be jumping since they’re in charge of all the oxygen equipment on the aircraft, but they can get their wings if their unit gets them a spot for jump school.
