Chris remember the video where you were on a Dam, may have been this one? and you found them small round button like stones on the shore. They are the jewels from crayfish situated in their head, (calcium deposits). We used to collect them as kids drill a hole through them make necklaces. I don't know if there's much info or study ben performed on them. The larger the jewel obviously larger the crayfish. The ones you found indicate there is some large crayfish there. All the best.

I was up at Frying Pan Arm last week with a couple of friends and there would have been close to 50 fish beached over a day and a half, a great mix of mainly rainbows and a few very nice browns, all off the shore. Stunning weather, crystal clear day and night sky’s and stars you could reach out and touch. Beautiful video Chris, yet again mate!!!

Loved the video, took a week off last week and kayaked and camped for 4 nights, caught enough rainbow trout to have a fish and steak every night on the open fire (in-lander surf and turf), nothing better in the world.
