I love the randomness of Orc armies though, half of your stuff falls apart, the other half that makes it into combat might kill your lads instead of the enemy and the less said about Fanatics the better!

The oldhammer universe was totally destroyed during the end times, Age of Sigmar is further down the timeline- they can't coexist. Besides, Fantasy didn't make GW any money, that's why Sigmar was dropped

fantasy hadnt been updated in 10 years when they replaced it. when end times came out more and more people started playing , only to be sorely disappointed

Those are definitely fun. To be honest, narrative battles in general are to me what Fantasy was always about, not the competitive smash down games that are more often shown here. Creating rules or adapting scenarios to try to tell a story or a campaign, similar to the Ork versus Inquisition game that Steve did on his own channel, or the Inquisitor Eisenhorn I think it was against Chaos? That's Fantasy to me. So yes, to answer your question in brief.

I hear you loud and clear mate, I love a good story driven battle! I always collected my armies with story or a theme in mind rather than for any battle winning strategy. I always thought that people building competitive tournament style armies killed the fun of the whole thing...

At my house

Toby Hall it might be a time thing or possibly finding people to play against. I know some people still play it, I did for years, but the scene has been dying pretty rapidly, at least in London, which is a big city. Ultimately they are a business so they have to maximise there potential earnings, each game probably takes a day to setup, film and edit.

It takes my group around two hours per game factor in an hour and a half for bsing and setting up its time intensive and i cant fault steve for not remembering a lot of rules, sad to see it go maybe i will try to come up in the next few months and bring my beastmen.

Toby Hall stop being such a child. Look at the numbers this video has less than 5k views and has been up for ~10 hours as of me writing this comment. Meanwhile their last 40k video which has been up for ~24 hours has 4x the amount of views it doesn't take a mathematician to see where the numbers are. They're a business first and foremost and they have to pay for all the expenses that come with being a business. So if a particular series isn't bringing the numbers (I.e vault memberships and ad revenue) to become profitable then yeah they're going to cut it. It makes perfect sense from a business perspective they did the same thing when they dropped Infiniti a few years back.

Another issue is that it starts to get boring. They are for the most part playing against the same people with the same armies in a game that will never change.
