The High Heat Baseball series was more focused on the gameplay aspect, rather than the graphics, compared to other series at the time such as All Star Baseball, Triple Play Baseball, or MVP Baseball. The series also included the most detailed stat tracking of all mainstream baseball games, catering to the simulation fans of baseball. High Heat Baseball 2003 was released three years prior to the EA's acclaimed MVP Baseball 2005, which is considered by many one of the greatest baseball games of all time.
