Fun as always! 😃 Would love a “clay busters” video and/or a video on plants that do great in both shade and sun. Would also love to see a picture of your alliums painted during Christmas time. 💚🎄

There is a claybuster video called Planting in Clay Soil. And I like your other idea about the shade-sun video, that can be tricky. And I guarantee the Christmas Walk will be shown.

I’ve grown perennial geraniums in both NYS and NE Tennessee. In both locations they stop blooming when it get’s hot. They bloom in early spring and again, less so, in autumn. I do love them, though!

I am a FORMER hosta hater. Years ago I had them in my yard and got rid of them. They were plain and limp and ugly. Then my daughter moved into a home that had hosta all over the yard in colors and sizes I had never seen before. Bright greens, creamy whites and blue greens. Hate turned to love. I’ve divided and moved them to the few shady spots in my yard ( never thought I would wish for more shade) and every year divide hers and move them to her multiple shady areas. She now has over 130 beautiful plants. Every fall I divide the larger ones. They have become one of my favorites also❤.

I divided a 'Sum and Substance' plant growing (thriving) in full sun. A few went to shady areas in my yard and a couple in full sun. One more left and I'll add it to my mixed hydrangea garden.

My husband loves hosta, but we have deer issues. So I put them in pot on our deck. Deer don't get on the deck. This year I planted a hosta in the ground. There's a fence behind it, marigolds around it. And I put a statue in front of it. Got my fingers crossed.

Hi Michelle, I recently came across your videos. We are from Green Bay and we are also in zone 5. It is awesome we can grow the same plants. It is great to know you have an enormous amount of knowledge with plants since you own a greenhouse. I am looking for hydrangeas for a tall hedge for privacy from neighbors. I want ones with super strong stems. Lime Rickey from Proven Winners was my first choice but hard to find online or at any local greenhouses in my area. Do you have any suggestions for tall hydrangeas in full sun that can withstand heavy rains? I am not fussy about the colors or the size of the blooms of the hydrangeas. I just want tall hydrangeas with super strong stems. Great job on your videos! I subscribed to your channel and look forward to your upcoming videos.

I have a berm planted with multiple hydrangea varieties in full sun to screen my neighbors' yard (they're very nice people). Michelle's list has several of mine. I sit on my deck, morning coffee in hand and admire the beautiful foliage. They're already budding out. 🥰 Do you follow Erin's channel, the impatient gardener? She's in eastern Wisconsin, on the lake. (I'm in Minneapolis)

@@gardeningTLC Thanks Michelle for the sizes. I think any of these would make an awesome hedge! I watched a video last night on youtube from Proven Winners Colorchoice Flowering Shrubs on full sized panicle hydrangeas. The horticulturist Stacey in the video compared the Pinky Winky hydrangea stems to rebar. This is exactly what I am looking for to hold up to the heavy winds and rain. Since they are eight feet tall, they will make a great hedge! Looking forward to your upcoming videos!
