I own a Classic 500 and an Int 650. I test rode a Classic 350. For me, it was the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. The seating position is perfect. The engine is smooth. The suspension supple, the transmission and clutch clean and predictable, the saddle was incredibly comfortable. I was thinking of trading in my Int 650 for one of these, the Int. doesn't fit me.. the riding position, the reach to the bars, the pegs.. very tangled up. I struggled the 350 up to 60mph and was thinking, if only it had TWO more horsepower.. Just TWO... it would be perfect...

@Walt_G
@Walt_G 6 ай бұрын
@@mattfisher506 the hunter has a smaller front wheel so using a hunter ECU might trick a Classic into thinking its going slower than it actually is rather than actually removing the speed limiter. So theoretically it should still go faster, maybe? Not sure if this would also make the speedo run slower. Hopefully someone who has access to both a hunter and a Classic will try swapping the ECU to see if it works, I suspect buying one to test the theory might be a bit of an expensive mistake if it doesn't work.

The 350 and 411 seem to be quite receptive to cam mods. The FuelX Lite is awesome. I have it on my 390 Duke and it has improved smoothness and low rpm rideability a fair bit. It is kind of like the Booster Plug except that it manipulates the lambda signal directly. Also, it's pronounced _Pun-jab_ not Poon-jab. Pun is pronounced like the English word. It's named after the state where this type of silencer has been quite popular. I say "has been" because the cops have been confiscating and destroying all loud aftermarket exhausts lately.

Thank you for the info on the Pun-jab. I always wonder how bad I'm doing with that kind of stuff. Will try to adjust. On the vintage bike videos there's an ongoing debate on how to pronounce Amal.. Has anyone unpluged the ABS sensor on one on these? Be worth doing long enough to strap a gps to it an see how fast it is. Theoretically, you could take the ABS ring off an have a new one made with fewer holes. Speedometer will be wrong but... 10% fewer holes would mean 10% faster before shutting off. ABS should still work unless you went extreme with it. Half as many holes might not work.

The Hunter has a smaller wheel than the Classic so is the adjustment is made using a different sensor ring or an adjustment in the Hunter ECU? Or is there something I've missed?
@RebelCowboysRVs
@RebelCowboysRVs 6 ай бұрын
@@Walt_G From pictures, it looks like the front ring is the same on both. Which makes sense from a parts department perspective. So it looks like the ECU. But its hard to count holes on a ring in a photo. A difference of one or two holes is all it takes to change it for a different tire an wheel size.
@Walt_G

@@RebelCowboysRVs yes, I think you are correct, the ring looks the same so it must be the ECU.

So, we pull the fuse on the ABS which disables both the ABS and the speedo. We buy one of those little gizmos you fit to a bicycle and, hay presto, you know how fast you are going. Problem is, going at 80+mph on my Classic Reborn is probably the time I'm going to be wishing I hadn't disconnected my ABS. Nah, think I'll just add a Conti GT to the stable.
