My neighbor has 6 ankle biting yippen dogs supposedly 4 of them are service/therapy dogs I call bulls..t everytime she leaves she leaves them outside and all they do is bark can't walk on my deck,work in my yard (my therapy) this shuts them up quick itvwill do till I find a more permanent answer

Dogs have to be trained to cut down on annoying barking. Your neighbors are lazy and haven't invested in their dog. The dog probably wants some food and water or it's in bad shapes starving for their affection .

I've got a yorkie and a micro yorkie. The micro just looked like okay im going back to sleep and my yorkie just walked all over the top of me and was nudging my hand to pet him then jumped in the floor and tried to look under the bedroom door and barked lol. I love these dogs they are so bad, but so cute you can't get mad

Don’t play it in front of them!!!! If they see your phone playing it, there may not be a response. Your dog isn’t fearful of your cell phone, neither should they be. 🤦‍♀️ Dogs are not dumb. Get creative.

Good for neighbours dog, but there’s much more pleasant ways you can train your own without resorting to high frequency. POsitive reinforcement, treat when they are good, not pain when they are bad.

I would actually be EXTREMELY unhappy if I found out this had happened at any daycare center or vet's office my pets were at, especially without being notified ahead of time that they used this technique. That is HIGHLY unprofessional. 😑

My neighbors have a male pit bull, a couple of years old, hasn’t been neutered, and I sometimes wonder if they actually know they have a dog. He constantly tries to attack me through my fence. Barks incessantly. Dog whistles don’t work and they never take him in, even during the worst weather. He’s about to disrupt yet another summer of backyard use. I truly hate this dog.

@@MrTokyoJunkie Sometime around late spring this year the barking stopped. I peeked through the fence and could still see the doghouse and toys, etc., but the dog is gone. No idea what happened, but i hope it stays gone. My summer is now slightly more peaceful.

Do not punish your dog for being in its crate. It will develop to hate the crate, it will associate negative experiences with being inside it. What you are doing is no different to the US Army in Guantanamo Bay where they lock someone in a room and play something repeatedly to make them conform. This is not positive control, it is fear, this is a very dangerous and bad way to train a dog. To crate train a dog takes time, trust and patience. Remove the door, make it real comfy inside, put favourite toys and snacks inside and leave the door off, if the roof comes off take it off too. Do this for a couple of weeks to a month, allowing the dog to use it as a bed per se, trapped is the last thing it should feel. It should feel safe and warm. Then start to close it for short periods, 5 - 10 mins to start building up over a couple of month to where it can be there all the time if needed as it trusts you and the space. If dogs are crate trained correctly any time they experience fear, loss or other overwhelming emotion they will run straight to it and hide. This will only happen if you train it as above, some dogs pick this up real fast, others require considerably more patience. The only time a dog should be dominated is when it shows acts of aggression, at all other times you are partners and friends, no one likes a boss on a power trip. It like the army, people misunderstand dogs, soldiers and discipline. They think dominance comes from being the bigger, louder, scarier animal. In reality the ones in command are usually quite relaxed and in control, this is displayed through patience, understanding, persistence and confidence. Do your dog a favour, back off a little. Let him get used to things. If the neighbours complain, that's on you, not the dog. You chose to bring a dog to that house, he had no choice in the matter. Dogs are vocal because they are insecure, so shouting, screaming and playing it things which terrify it are not going to help. This is a very good way to get a child bitten as they open it, the dog will be so insecure in the cage.
