In early 2016, Disney announced that a fourth installment of the series was "in the works", later announcing a casting call for the film, tentatively referred to as High School Musical 4.[13][14] In March 2016, details about the film's prospective principal characters were reported.[15]
On New Year's Eve, high school juniors Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) meet at a ski lodge party during winter break. The two are called upon to sing a duet together for karaoke ("Start of Something New"). Returning to school after a break, Troy sees Gabriella in his homeroom. She explains that she has just moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and transferred to East High School over the break. As Troy shows Gabriella around the school, Drama Club President and East High's designated "Ice Princess" Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) assumes that Gabriella is interested in auditioning for the school musical, Twinkle Town. Wanting to eliminate competition, Sharpay has Scholastic Decathlon Captain and Chem Club president Taylor McKessie (Monique Coleman) investigate Gabriella's past academic achievements to recruit Gabriella for the Scholastic Decathlon. As a result, Taylor and Gabriella became friends over their shared interests.

I know people have said it, but I feel like the best way to make this movie would be a class reunion type of thing. It’s believable and would definitely be a great excuse for all the characters to come back together since really, how many times do you actually keep in touch with your high school friends after graduation? Could be a bit cheesy, but I’d watch it.

High School Musical is my childhood since the beginning. I still remember watching the third movie in the movie theatres, (I was probably 7 or 8 years old at the time) and my mom yelled "GO TROY" in the opening basketball scene lol. This is an amazing trailer very emotional and heart lifting. The only thing is, it wouldn't really be High School Musical 4 since all of them are out of High School.

Honestly I think there’s a huge chance that high school musical 4 could possibly happen since were in the reboot era. Everyone seems to want it so there’s a huge profit margin for it especially since we already know that a show based on it was a hit. It’s been years and I’m pretty sure the actors don’t really care about what happened from 2009. Most of them don’t really have any huge obligations holding them up so all it takes is Kenny Ortega really trying to make it happen.

Idk why wants this the plot is so Obvious Troy and Gabriella Breakup in college they somehow get reunited they are in situation that they can’t be together Troy sings a song about Gabriella Gabriella sings a song about Troy then everyone kisses and makes up and by the end of the movie they are married and everything is cupcakes and rainbow (unrealistic expectations of life tbh) You know what I know why the species of what we call human or us always Always ALWAYS want what they can’t have in this case HSM Kenny Ortega could confirm that Mal and Bens relationship is forever or/and true love But he could not confirm the same for Troy and Gabriella The only thing Grandpa Kenny could not give us

I love this story idea so much about them moving on after college and Troy marrying someone else and Gabrielle getting invited to his wedding and it’s a race against time where they all reunite ❤

We all wish this could be true. Disney should have a High School Musical 4 but this time they are older (obviously) and they have their kids who all go to the same High School as their parents and the kids meet and become friends and start singing and dancing and their parents could be in a few songs as well. It would be the coolest and greatest movie in 2021. I still have hope and I'm just here wishing with all my heart for there to be a High School Musical 4!! Y'all have to understand that the actors are no longer in contact. I feel they ended on mutual terms, but are strangers to each other again. Only a real miracle can bring this kind of movie to life.
