If you actually think about it Gina's storyline in the show has a lot of similarities with Gabriella. A girl that moved around with her mother and struggled to find friends and a place where she belonged, but in the end she found happiness and made her own choices about her future. Also Ricky and Troy. Ricky the not a person interested in the arts end up loving singing and performing. Also struggling to find his place and make his own choices.

Im crying.. Tim did his thing this season!! when Gina tells Ricky to look under the tag ugh my heart... I went back to the Thanksgiving episode (1x7) and before Gina gives Ricky the hat, I noticed that she hesitated and looked sad when Ricky put the hat down!! Tim and his writing and foreshadowing UGHHH

what I love about Ricky being late is that he didn't know that she had changed the movie to stay in Salt Lake, but he was going to tell her he loved her anyway- even though he thought she was leaving he still wanted her to know but wasn't going to hold her back from going anyway. Gina had been waiting for Ricky to say I love you, and even though he hadnt she also chose to stay before she got her big gesture and i just think its full circle for both characters finally getting it right gaaaa i love them was crying along with you

Gina’s development from the first season to this last one was the best in the whole show

There was something so beautiful about Gina behind Ricky in his jacket (in the limo), as he looks back at the school while the song transitions from BTBB to the rina cue. Like Ricky is thanking his previous adventure before he joins his “adventure for a lifetime”. There is talks of a HSMTMTS spin off and/or a movie. I would give ANYTHING to see rina college years ❤🥹

My favorite original song from this season is definitely Love you forever. I cried so hard while watching it and then they had THE AUDACITY to do Born to be Brave.

I agree with you, Gina's mom was only there for the press conference. Now for reflection of the whole season. I watched all the episodes on the day they released, but the amount of times I happy cried was too many to count. Rina made me so happy, I'd never in many years experienced feeling so happy I could cry for a couple. I can't help but think back to season one, where I really disliked Ricky for half if not all of season one, but then homecoming episode happened. It changed everything for me. Rina was one of the lights of joy and happiness of the show for me. I want to see Ricky graduate and know where all their futures are headed for certain, but I love that they got a realistic happy ending.

I know it's the last season but there so much openings for so much story and i wish there would be one more season with : Gina and Ricky as Romeo and Juliet and more Carlos and Seb and Ash and Maddox and more Emmy the assistant. More Miss Jen. In the end i'm not ready for this show to end and that last original song from Ricky was amazing. THANK YOU Adam for your reaction it help to continue to live this adventure with you. I didn’t realize until just now how many songs we were blessed with in the finale episode. I mean I enjoyed every single one of them when watching it. Just wow. I loved the ending so much. I’m so happy they made Ricky’s confession so big and he was no longer afraid of saying I love you.

Tim federle actually said Rini was planned ever since they shot the homecoming episode. Originally Rini was just supposed to be a short lived thing but after the homecoming car scene, they rewrote where they wanted the characters to end up.

I’ve seen all the episodes when they dropped. So here’s my final thoughts on episode 8. This is gonna be a long post 1) The kiss between Maddox and Ashlyn was absolutely everything. The split second of realization between the peck and the full on kiss was adorable 2) the mini conversation between Kourtney and Monique was something that Kourtney really needed to hear. 3) The final call was the first scene that almost had me crying 4 and 5) Ricky’s and Gina’s monologues had me almost on the verge of tears. The character progression they both had these last 4 years is an astronomical showing. 6) Ricky’s confession through the song was the moment that broke me. “But you and I’ve become a sacred kind of home” really describe the relationship between Ricky and Gina. 7) THE FACT THAT GINA KNEW SHE LOVED RICKY EVER SINCE SEASON 1 WHEN SHE PUT THE MESSAGE IN THE HAT JUST SHOWS HOW ENDGAME RINA IS 8) The post credit scene absolutely sent me 6 feet under. I would’ve selfishly loved a season 5 just to see how things would’ve panned out with Ricky’s senior year and Gina with the movie. But all in all, this was a beautiful send off to an incredible series. HSMTMTS, YOU WILL BE MISSED.

Watching the Finale was so emotional to watch. To see the cast grow from the beginning to the end of this show is amazing to see. I’m very attached to every single character. I love the evolution of Rina, how Maddox and Ashlyn found each other. How Carlos and seb realized how much they love each other, and more. All of the character across all 4 seasons have so much character development it’s insane. I am going to miss watching these reaction videos because your reactions are priceless. Just the most incredible series finale. So many shows fail at the final hurdle but this was just the absolute best. I've watched it twice now plus four reactions to it and I'm in a puddle of tears every time.

When I tell you I actively blubbered when "For Good" started. I needed 3 notes, just like you, to recognize it. But I cried so hard because when Miss Jen was offered the part of Glinda I was like "omg what if they sing 'For Good'" and then it didn't happen, so I thought it wasn't going to. AND THEN IT DID 😭😭😭😭

Big Red and Antione was very random but I also loved it idk why lol. But I'm so glad all the ships were endgame. I wish we had more Jet and Kourtney scenes, I thought they were so cute. They could have done one more season as they keep mentioning the spring musical and school ends in May. They could have done HSM 2 this season then did HSM 3 for Season 5 as the final season but I do understand why they didn't do it as season 3 was the summer and HSM 2 was during summer, but i still think that they should have done HSM 2 before doing HSM 3, but as i said i understand why. But the ending does feel nice for them.

This was such a weird, weird series finale. So much that was satisfying and emotional, some stuff that was just...kind of there, and a couple dozen threads left completely unresolved. If nothing else we deserved an EJ coming out scene. And...y'know, an ending for Ricky that isn't just him being sooooo 'in love' with Gina. Even if it was supposed to be an intentional satire of shows in the past where the man has a fleshed out ending and the woman's ending is just being in love with the man, that doesn't make it...you know...good or satisfying.
