They have the same mechanics as a jet in the water! Their tails act like elevators for a jet, the flippers act like wings and their fin is like the rudder on a jet! Absolutely amazing !!!

They set a new world record at 1500m in 2.5 minutes instead of human 14:32 minutes

GORGEOUS!... absolutely symphonic the way this pod swims in such tight formation, but never collides. They're obviously not fishing, but just having fun! Or maybe it's team-building social-cohesion behavior...? Anyway, what chance would a shark have of surviving a high-speed ramming by this crew! 😇

just watched this with Leeplay orchestral version of BTS "ON" - amazing. It was pretty cool how often the music synced with the dolphins jumping!!!!

Dolphins are incredibly fast swimmers, reaching speeds of 20-25 miles per hour,

This doesn't seem seem to make sense to me. They seem to be breaking the laws of physics to move at that speed in the water without moving their tales.

Lol I thought that that massive object swimming behind them/chasing them was a whale but it turned out was just the bumper of the ship.

@pariswebb52523 жыл бұрын
The tail is moving just really fast
@emir27502 жыл бұрын
1 year later but the answer is this: the main movement is not caused by their tails tails, rather, their propulsion comes from their body. More specifically, the part from the middle of their body until the end of the tail. Up-and-down motion of this whole muscular structure gives an amazing power.
