If you're medium-/lower-skilled, the increased profit you make because the higher-skilled players are not in the game could potentially exceed the rake differential. Mediums/lows could be in a better position to exploit more spots that would otherwise not be available had better players been in the game. It's so complex a calculation that you may not be able to truly calculate it, but the theoretical profit is there.
