I use a silicone baking mat all the time - for cooking and baking. It's become an essential tool, which replaces parchment paper, and I use it as a non stick sheet for transferring dough and pastry. I use mine almost everyday.
Silpat has always been my brand but over the years they have become more and more expensive, which has become hard to justify. As much as I love Silpat I came to realize it was more the product, and less the brand, that I loved.
So I found an alternative, which has become an excellent replacement, for way less money.
